Excellent location, within a few mins walk from Birmingham new street station. It was literally adjacent to the conference centre I was visiting, which was very convenient. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. The shower was excellent - great power and temperature.
This is a fair place to stay if you’re only staying for 1-2 nights - it does the job. The rooms are old and in need of renovation. I asked for a quiet room but I could hear the drum and bass from the next door room in the morning (thankfully I was up already).
There were also some issues regarding communication - I booked a 2 night stay but my travel got postponed. Despite giving advance warning (in writing and a telephone call), I was informed by the front desk that the hotel had cancelled my reservation. Thankfully this was readily rectified.
