Old style hotel requiring renovation for some rooms and spaces. Nice fitness center and location.
Location is nice, staff is polite and friendly. The fitness center is very nice.
Breakfast was really basic and for sure not up to the standard of a four-star hotel. Morevoer, after 9.30, there was shortage of food (i.e. pain au chocolate, croissants). Junior suite room on ground floor was not a junior suite room type. It needs renovation and better cleaning. The patio door overlooking the back of the hotel was really dirty. The room was dark and had no view at all. We requested to have the two single beds arranged as one double bed, but it was not done. Our children got a standard classic room (renovated) that was much better than our junior suite. Summarising, the hotel is an old style hotel requiring renovation for some rooms and spaces. Restaurant staff is very professional. Food is nothing exceptional and quite expensive.

Mixed feelings...
Beautiful location. Good breakfast. Good & clean room with a very comfortable bed. Some (very) friendly personel - esp. the lady organising the breakfast. Excellent WiFi: good signal strength and none of the usual "register/login; webpage redirection that can't handle https; forced-autodisconnect-every-day; ..." nonsense found in almost all other hotels.
Unfriendly receptionist when I arrived: No "Hello", "Good evening", or anything even remotely sounding like that. All I got was a blank stare suggesting "What the hell are you here for and want from me?" When returning to my room on the last evening, the electronically programed room key didn't work. The same receptionist fixed that quickly, but couldn't be bothered saying something totally standard like "I am / We are sorry, Sir."

Location in Heijenrade , not Slenaken , despite of the flyers with massages no massages were available , breakfast could be better organized

Nice stay, but lack of honesty on hotel descriptions
The skylight room was spacious and had a nice view of farmland. Nice bathroom Staff are lovely
The room was supposed to be hypoallergenic but thats not true as whole time I was sneezing in the room and my eyes would be itchy, it was very dusty. There is supposed to be a panoramic view from the outside front, but unfortunately covered by trees so you just see trees unless you go to the end you manage to see a bit. The duvets are too hot to sleep in, even with the air con or windows open. This made us feel unwell the next morning. You can hear doors slam shut from down the corridor. It would be nice if you allowed people to eat dinner outside when the weather is nice. We understand sales techniques, but please don’t ask us to make a reservation at the restaurant claiming it’s going to be impossible to book and we won’t be able to turn up due to being busy when that was completely the opposite and it was not busy nor almost fully booked at all. The breakfast room is far too warm. Flying ants all over our windows
