A perfect Christmas stay in a warm, welcoming cottage

We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay completely stress-free. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect for relaxing, and at the same time, the location was very convenient. You could really feel the care and attention to detail put into the place. Christina and Ben were amazing hosts — incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we would happily return without hesitation.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. We enjoyed every part of our stay.

The couple who own the cottage are so friendly and made us feel so welcome, the cottage itself is fantastic and it's on a beautiful lake, I would highly recommend staying here.

The location was magnificent! The cottage overlooked water, and we could park our car right outside the accommodation. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. Lovely warm welcome from the delightful hosts who were on hand for any queries we had. Overall the best experience we've had over many years of travelling. Our heartfelt thanks!

A comfortable well-equipped cottage in a quiet location next to a lake. Very friendly hosts with lots of useful information about the local area. Close to the town of Dungloe with good bars and restaurants.

Benito and Christina were more than welcoming. They made themselves available whenever we needed something, gave us a ride both upon arrival and departure, and even helped us on personal matters we had in Ireland. All in all, they went far beyond any expectation we could have had. We cannot but warmly recommend them as hosts!

We had a fantastic time. Dungloe is a great base and we'd highly recommend Simply Donegal.

The house was fantastic, spotlessly clean with every facility we needed for a family of 4 and a very generous welcome pack was provided. The location is ideal with a country lakeside feel but within walking distance of 3 big supermarkets. Christina and Ben were very welcoming and considerate hosts and gave us loads of great advice on sights to see, places to eat etc.

Lovely Cottage in Dungloe

Self contained, clean, beautiful location. We stayed for 7 nights and we had everything we needed on site. Very close to the village of Dungloe surrounded by lakes and mountains. Just what we all needed for a few days. Christina and Ben were very welcoming and we felt right at home.
