Home from home

Second time booking a property of Annie's, and yet again: everything was perfect. The property is well equipped, clean, and very comfortable. Loved the views over beautiful scenery and the sounds of the river nearby. Friendly and communicative hosts, I would definitely recommend this property for anyone.

A real treat - we will be back.

It was comfortable and warm. Had lovely little extras like books and DVDs , loo paper in the loo and washing up Liquid in the kitchen. The views and walks were glorious . My morning cuppa out on the patio was beautiful . The Picture window in the lounge brought the countryside into the house. We are all delighted . The water was hot and the pressure good. And a dishwasher was an extra bonus . Thank you

Beautiful view in a comfortable cottage

Beautiful, comfortable house with amazing views, it had everything we needed and was so peaceful which is what we wanted. The big window in the living room with amazing views was something else. There is a rental lodge beside this, detached from the cottage and a fence inbetween, you share the outdoor laundry room with them but no one was there when we were so we had total peace and the place to ourselves. We would definitely go back.

Cosy clean cottage in a great location can’t wait to return back here

Our whole experience and stay was so beautiful the property had the most breathtaking view onto mountains and river, the enclosed fencing on the property was a nice touch too. Every room in the cottage was spotless and well decorated, fantastic fire that kept you warm for the cold winter nights. I could go on there was genuinely not one fault. Communication was also very positive!

Can’t find a thing to say that we never liked we just loved it all.

Beautiful isolation...

A dream location overlooking the Gweebarra River. My neighbours were sheep. Loved the isolation and how homely the cottage was. Everything you could need for a cottage holiday was provided.

I loved everything however a couple of minor critiques. The shower had very little power and it was potluck on how hot the water was. Maybe that was something I was doing wrong?? Not that I watched much TV but there only seemed to be bbc 1 in numerous regional forms but extremely minor stuff. I brought shower gel but I didn't see any available in the cottage.

A great location

The view from the living room window across the field and down to the river was absolutely lovely. And we loved our evening drink on the deck down by the river. The rooms and facilities were great, and the cost was very good value. Annie was also very helpful with local suggestions.

The location was ideal , The cottage was really well kept with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers, It was home away from home only cosier., It really is a great base to discover Donegal, would highly recommend it.

Spacious living area, panoramic window is a great feature. Lovely set up for al fresco dining. Picturesque surroundings. Nice and cosy bedrooms, comfy beds. Plenty of entertainment like games and DVDs for rainy weather. We would definitely recommend to our friends and would love to come back.

It can get noisy in the bedrooms in the morning as cars drive by very close.

Annie’s river retreat is a very cosy, homely cottage. perfect for a relaxing getaway especially if you like getting away from all the hustle and bustle of the city life.

There was no fire lighting facilities provided. struggled slightly with this as not used to this way of heating.

Handy to beaches and Glenties and Dungloe very central. Seen a wedding at Portnoo beach lovely. Very brave considering Irish weather.Quietish location but busy road at front of house Magnificent view from large window Nice and cosy all mod cons lovely furnished &plenty reading books for everyone and dvds . Nice complimentary bottle wine a lovely surprise thanks.

The cottage was exceptionally clean, lovely views, comfortable and spacious. Communications were first class and instructions very detailed on what to do and see in the area. Beautiful beaches a short drive away. A very relaxing stay for us and our dogs.

Lovely location and views. Nice cottage comfortable and very nicely presented.

DVD player worked intermittently. We took our dog and despite the description there was no garden, only a patio but we were able to take her for walks nearby. Also didn’t like the shared facility for the laundry room. It wasn’t a problem at all as the people in the adjoining rental didn’t use it but it would have been awkward if they had as we have a dog.

An Amazing Place

Directions were perfect, instructions were first class, cottage was very well equipped, view from the large window was amazing, stove was lovely, bed was so comfy. We had such a relaxing few days, even our dog loved it.

The large front window, should have had curtains / blinds, would have made it cosier and the temperature of the radiators could have been bit higher especially for this time of year - Autumn/Winter, as it was very cold and stormy.
