Cosy and comfy accommodation in a very scenic part of Donegal.
Great host and superb value for money - our kids loved the room and the bunk beds, with all beds extremely comfortable and rooms heated perfectly throughout. The host was easily contactable and more than happy to help us with any queries we had. It may be useful to note that there's a common room upstairs with a communal area and additional cutlery, crockery and appliances if needed.
The entrance past the community centre is a bit rough, but passable when taken slowly, and the wifi signal was a bit patchy to start with, but didn't impact on or spoil our stay, and the host was most helpful throughout.

    Couples break
Incredibly quiet location, very close to the village with ample parking available. Comfortable beds, warm & cosy.
No bad points, I'd only suggest adding a toaster / microwave to the kitchenette area it would be perfect for a quick breakfast. All in all a great stay.

    Perfect Stay
Mary was a wonderful hostess. The property was wonderful, comfortable, warm, quiet and at the top of a hill with the most perfect view. Mountains and Sea. Mary was so helpful and accommodating when we all got absolutely drenched at the beach and we needed some extra heating to dry the shoes. She provided us with heat immediately (even though it was warm out but typical Irish weather) the shower and hot water was almost immediately hot hot hot. While there isn't a kitchen, we brought a camping stove to use outside and you could also use a BBQ if the weather was good enough. Otherwise there are so many places to eat in Ardara, lots of lovely pubs, a nice Chinese, fish and chips and pizza for take away. There's also some dine in places. There is a kettle in the room, cutlery, glasses and mugs, mini fridge and kettle and some coffee. The beds are super comfortable. The games in the room were great we all had fun with connect 4! After the kids went to bed we did too with the TV on quietly to wind down with a glass of wine and the view out the window which you could never grow tired of. Towels were fluffy and great. The bathroom floor was quite slippery so do be aware of that (room 1 at least although I imagine they mirror) You're only 25mins away from Donegal town, Glenties and Killybegs, all of which are lovely to visit and eat/drink in. Kilcoolney Dolmen, Assaranca Waterfall (free) and Maghera caves (€4 parking at Granny's) and Ardara Distillery (€26.50 for tasting tour) are a must see, just make sure you time the tide right for the caves. The kids ran around outside happily as there's plenty of space. There is also a play park within walking distance although do be aware the area is very hilly, it's up a mountain.

    We would gladly stay again.
Really nice room. Well designed with separate areas as there were three of us. Very comfortable beds.
There were knives and forks but plates would have been helpful.

    Lovely room with comfy beds
Comfy beds, well equipped, good location, lovely view, outdoor sitting area 😊
    Squiky doors, not very soundproof

I should have done more research
There were no breakfast facilities. In some websites it is advertised as a bed and breakfast. It offers bed only
As above, no breakfast. The property is a little drab and the room a little dreary. Didn't meet anyone, which surprised me for a rural location. The room was clean and tidy.

A gem of a find in a perfect location for touring!
We stayed in room 2 which was gorgeous. We had a separate area with double bed with doorway to another area with bunks and table area. There was also an en-suite shower room. Our room was modern and tastefully decorated, we were very pleasantly surprised! The view from our room, right from the bed, was straight over the mountains. If you sit outside on the chairs you get the full view of both the mountains and the sea, stunning. There was a self check in system so we didn’t meet our host, but her communication throughout the stay was Evans she was very helpful. As stated, there are. No cooking facilities, but there was a fridge, kettle and tea and coffee. There are cups, glasses and cutlery but no plates or bowls. We were touring on motorcycles and there was plenty of room to store and dry all of our gear. Ardara town is lovely with lots of gift shops and pubs. There is a garage and a general store a few minutes walk away for supplies with the main town about 5 minutes walk. Would definitely recommend this property and be delighted to return.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, but a few things to consider! The property was a bit tricky to find as there was no signage, we weren’t sure we had found the correct place! There are thankfully 2 entrances-the lane via the community centre that we were advised to take was very difficult with motorcycles and we got stuck several times as it was very steep and stoney. There is a tarmac lane just opposite Ardara Autoparts on Hillhead Road which we used once we found it. The carpark is also quite steep but we parked bikes under our window which was on the flat. As others have said, there are no plates or bowls, but we bought variety boxes of cereal and poured the milk straight in and that kept us going until getting breakfast out! Others have noted that en-suite is a bit dated, but it was very clean.
