Wonderful stay in this cozy house

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely countryside house over Halloween! Everything was spotless and beautifully decorated. Zuzana, the host, was so thoughtful — she left chocolates, cookies, and milk for us when we arrived. We stayed with our two kids and our puppy, and we all had a great time. The house was cozy and comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy the fireplace. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the beds were super comfortable too! We truly felt at home.

Cosy cottage for perfect family holiday

Lovely location. My wife 2 boys aged 11 and 7. And enclosed garden for our week dog. We stayed 3 nights and only downside is we didnt book for longer. Football nets in garden, basket ball net. Netflix. WiFi. Everything we wanted and facilities perfect. Hot water at push of a button. Can't thank host enough superb wee cosy cottage for family trip.

We felt comfortable, slept well, and appreciated the fun family activity options (football goal, basketball hoop, games)

- very comfortable and cosy - very well equipped, like being at home, and everything was in great working order - the football goal, basketball hoop, balls, and games to keep children entertained and active - super clean - attentive and hospitable host - clear instructions on how to get in, how to use water heater for hot water and heating - we slept well - secure private parking

- we thought the living room was cluttered (one of my children called it creepy because he didn’t like the smell, there was something that said ‘Live everyday like it’s your last day’, and there were teddy bears everywhere. 😅) - we wished there would have been a coat hanger for our coats and backpacks - we found it rather awkward to move in the shower on account of the small space created by the shower curtain

Perfect relaxing stay for our family and 🐾🐾

Carnowen Cottage was perfect for our family to stay. The property has 3 double bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would require. Even dog bowls! The top bedroom has lots of games, which we got great use of. The living room has a tv and access to online streaming services, and the internet was fast and reliable. Unfortunately the Irish weather didn’t play ball, but there is a lovely garden around the property, which is included and safe for our dog and children. We were able to travel to Rathmullan and Buncrana within a short drive. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cosy cottage - would be very happy to return.

Warm and comfortable, quiet location with parking, well appointed kitchen. Our party of 4 spent a lovely peaceful few days. Large Asda not too far away for supplies. Tv with Netflix for evening entertainment.

Only one bathroom but we were aware of this so not a problem for us.

Lovely Stay

Zuzanna cottage was the best we have ever stayed in. So clean and tidy and "Home away from home ". There was lovely treats upon arrival. The little picture quotes around were lovely to read. The garden was so well kept. View from the cottage were lovely. Beyond my expectations.

Carnowen Cottage is hands down the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. Ideally located to explore the many beauty spots in Donegal. The cottage is full of character and charm. It is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The garden is amazing and there are wonderful views. Zuzana is a wonderful host and had milk in the fridge and some treats upon our arrival.

We loved the cosy cottage with its stove and wonderful garden. It is beautifully kept and comfortable and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

The only thing missing and that would have been great for the 4 of us was a dishwasher.

Great for Walkers or just a place to stay whilst travelling Donegal region

Beautiful Quaint Cottage set in fabulous countryside. Great Kitchen to make a meal and dine together as a family. Lots of information on local area for those who want it. Clean and overall very good.

Bed was too soft for me personally. When leaving the drive be extra careful as some cars wizz past and it is on a bend so I found listening for traffic the easiest way to get out safely!

Heavenly retreat

Great communication prior to and during our stay. The cottage was so cosy and met our needs. The kids enjoyed amazon tv and Netflix while I enjoyed the silence of other spaces, heating and water instructions easy to follow, cottage was nicely heated throughout day/evening, always plenty of hot water and ample material for fire in the living room. Beds comfortable along with sofa/chairs. Finally, a special mention to our host for accommodating my additional requests, hopefully we will back later in the year.

A very enjoyable and relaxed stay

The cottage is located 'out of town' on a country lane and so offers an opportunity for peace and quiet in a very rural setting, which was just what we were looking for. It's about four miles or so to the nearest town but at the same time is really well located for making trips out and visits. It's easy to get from the property to places like Derry, Fanad Head Lighthouse, Horn Head, Donegal and Letterkenny. The coastlines and walking at Fanad Head and Horn Head are off the scale and we would more that reccomend a visit. Malin Head is also easy enough to get to - but on this occasion we just didn't have time. The cottage itself is comfortable, cosy and really well equipped and probably has everything you can think of and would need. The heating and wi-fi is superb, off road private parking is excellent and the garden is extensive and well kept (with plenty of rabbits to see each day). We were traveling on our own (adult couple) but if you had children the garden would provide a very safe and secure play area and the property owner has provided any number of games etc for entertainment if the weather isnt so good. All in all we had a great stay here and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend to others or to stay here again if travelling in this area. Communications from the property owner, were prompt, helpful and informative and the key collection and all arrangements were really easy.

There was nothing at all that we didnt like, everything about our stay was really good and the fact that we would stay there again if traveling in the area says it all really from our perspective.

What a gem of a place! It was a spotless, quaint country cottage with a lovely view over the mountains.

Everything was exceptional - the beds were firm and for some that is great, yet not for me. That was the only challenge in an otherwise wonderful setup.
