Fantastic American style house with all amenities inside. Very comfy!

I did not eat the breakfast. I was out very early but the owner offers self catering and showed me even that there is bread, oats, milk, butter, coffee, tea all for free if I wanted. I got all mine own products and just quickly made a coffee for my travel mug and went off.

I don't see anything that would be necessary to change maybe beside that there was no table in the room where I could use my laptop other than on the bed itself.

Excellent value for money in a country that has become far too expensive.

We made our own breakfast with the multiple ingredients that John supplied. He had eggs, cereals, variety of breads and pancakes, jams and marmalade

Beautiful stay in Donegal in great location

Very clean, easy to access, enough privacy & space to relax. Lovely rooms and use of a great sized kitchen and living rooms. Location is in a stunning area of natural beauty with restaurants & bars nearby. Will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay and would happily stay here again.

The room was nice and we had a bathroom for ourselves. The house is in a lovely area with lots of nice places to explore nearby by car. The host provided complimentary tea, coffee, milk, bread, eggs, muffins etc which was much appreciated as it saved us going out for breakfast in the morning. The host was friendly and helpful with suggestions on check in. The house was very quiet and spacious. The price was good.

Lovely house in beautiful area

We brought our own breakfast but there was a large variety of breakfast items available. We did use the tea and coffee facilities. Kitchen was clean and very well equipped with all essential and non essential items. There was a great variety of cereal, eggs, bread etc. John was the perfect host and bedroom was also comfortable and well equipped.

Restful, refreshing, reinvigorating.

The location was splendid, although the directions took me off the beaten path a little. I was shown the kitchen and told to make myself at home. perfect! I was on what turned out to be a tiring (and wet) cycle tour. I had a great night 's sleep, enjoyed myself making my breakfast, ready for a new day!

It was a shame there were no other guests to chat to, but that can't be helped.

One of the nicest places to unwind

Really enjoyed the stay. Lake walk direct from path by lodge. Use of TV room with Netflix. Loved the kitchen with centre island and the long dining table in the conservatory. The host, John, was friendly but respected our privacy. He was very generous - allowed my girls to take part in his kickboxing/ju jitsu session - and wouldn't take any money. There was a really peaceful feel about the place. Thanks a million for your hospitality and generosity John. We will be back.

Although we initially felt unsure about sharing the living area - it turned out that this was unfounded as guests staggered times they used the kitchen and dining area - similar to a hotel.

Great place to stay to experience the Irish bogs and countryside.

Great access to a trail by the bog, the rooms were nice, the kitchen table and sunroom were very scenic and comfortable. John was friendly and helpful, it was a great experience :)

The trail to the lake could have been a little better trimmed, but it wasn't really a problem.

Lovely surroundings

Great communication with the host, very friendly. Lovely setting. Comfortable room with private bathroom. Lots of common areas, TV room with netflix, etc. Amazing kitchen with lots of supplies, made late breakfast and weren't rushed away from the dining space on the day of departure. Lots of nice quirky decor bits, nice atmosphere. Local restaurant is 15min walk and had amazing steak there. Really friendly people too, took us in with our dog as it was a bit cold outside. The property is pet friendly too - big bonus!
