not worth the money

the view, and your own kitchen in a way

a lot of things. was hard to find as there is no signs for the place and the eircode doesn’t work on google maps right, lead us to the wrong place. We thought it was going to be a private pod but was full of houses around us with very nosey neighbours that would constantly stare over or stare in as they would walk by the pod making us feel unwelcome. the heat was our main problem as there are NO cooling systems just 3 tiny windows and the main door. as it’s a steel shed it gets very hot so would be concerned for children if they were to stay for long inside this pod. was a basic pod far from luxury and pictures mislead to make it seem it was very private with no surrounding neighbours and bit bigger of a pod. was not worth the money wouldn’t stay again or recommend in my opinion.

Beautiful location and comfortable pod

I took this break to have peace and quiet, walk, think, dream, relax. It ticked all those boxes. Beautiful location, lovely walks, comfy and cosy pod. There is a small friendly supermarket nearby, was able to buy good food and the pod has a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and air fryer. I needed to do a little bit of work, the wifi was good. The outside seating area was bliss, nice and warm and sheltered from the wind with a great view. Perect place for touring the magnificent Donegal area. Literally a breath of fresh air.

It was hard to find, google maps did not recognize the eircode. There is no sign at all on the property, to let you know you have arrived. While it was comfy and I had everything I needed, I would describe it as basic rather than luxury. No hairdryer

A great spot to sleep after a day exploring Donegal

The location is beautiful and it is a great spot to come back to after a day out exploring. Mount Erigal and Glenveigh National Park are a short drive. There a number of lovely beaches within driving distance too

The provisions were a bit limited, for example, there was no tea bags or milk sachets provided. The door was quite difficult to lock however it does eventually work. It was not advertised that there was an air fryer and microwave available - if we had known that we would have brought food to cook, especially as the local restaurants are extremely limited and were disappointing.

Had everything needed for a short trip, comfortable bed and spacious. Location is perfect - so scenic and amazing views. Clean and tidy.

Peacefully place

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation over the weekend! The place was incredibly pleasant, with a breathtaking view of nature and a serene, peaceful atmosphere. Its location is perfect for relaxation, being just a short drive to the beach. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and disconnect from everything. We truly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it for a tranquil getaway!

The only downside was the cleanliness, which could have been better.

Pod is situated on the waters edge,so views are fab. Quite easy to find and all the data we needed for keys etc,was already in our possession due to the host correspondence. Bed,shower,etc were top class. Would return again..

The pod had everything we needed and more. There was an Airfryer, microwave, heating, shower with instant hot water and bed was very comfortable. Host was very attentive and very quick to answer any queries or questions.

Beautiful pod in an idealic location

The property was cosy yet had all amenities for a lovely weekend. Bed was comfy, bathroom facilities were better than expected and the scenery was to die for.

Large French doors / windows facing out onto the tidal inlet with the back drop of Errigal was a wonderful sight to behold from the comfort of a cosy bed.

Cosy stay in a cute pod

The pod was new, clean and well thought out for a small space. The view of the water was lovely and the location was nice and quiet. Though small, it worked out perfectly for our family of 4.

Magical

As typical Irish people, we absolutely love Donegal, so any opportunity to stay there, we take it! Normally we would stay in a hotel, but we thought we would try a pod for the first time, and the experience was magical. The Pod was perfect, it was exactly what we needed it to be. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved how close it was to the beach and the pub / restaurant was less than 10 minutes driving (probably 20 minutes if you walked). It had a fantastic view, and lovely garden furniture to sit outside and enjoy it. I couldn’t fault the information provided inside (numbers for taxis, number for the doctor, local places to visit etc.), and having access to a smart tv was brilliant for when we came back in between sight seeing, and before we went to bed. We loved that we were somewhat secluded, and weren’t surrounded by lots of other people, which meant we could enjoy each other’s company in a more intimate / romantic setting, like we were in our own world or bubble. I have already passed the link for the pod on to a number of family members and friends!

It was a bit hard to find initially, but once we knew where it was we could make our way back without a problem. The cover for the garden furniture was a bit hard to get on when in rained.

We had a brilliant staff at the Donegal Luxury Pod! It was extremely comfortable, very clean and a clever use of space. Loved the seating outside too. The view was gorgeous and a delight to wake up to. Perfect for our short stay with all the amenities we needed. Communication was great from the owners with all the information provided before our arrival. A perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

Top

Durch Ebbe und Flut hat man immer einen anderen Blick (auf die Schafe). Aber auch die Aussicht auf Mount Errigal ist phantastisch. Wir konnten viele wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge vom nahegelegenen Strand aus beobachten. Wer Natur mag, ist hier genau richtig. Auch zum Walken oder Joggen geht eine schöne Strecke am Haus vorbei.

Alles war super.
