Steps, steps and yet more steps

Milo is a very welcoming and affable host. There were extras….cold drinks on arrival, free drinks in the room fridge…which were very welcome. The breakfasts are excellent with a wide variety to choose from. Very clear instructions from Milo on how to get to Villa Kluic by public transport and on accessing Dubrovnik. The property is spotless and the plants and greenery made for a very pleasant stay. thank you.

It’s not a dislike but guests need to be aware that there are a lot of steps down to the town…and to get back up to Villa Kluic.

Very pleasant stay

One of the best places I've ever stayed in on holidays. Milo was so friendly and hospitable. Room was clean, comfortable and large. Within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to old town. Very near to the walking trails to Mount Srd.

Overall a nice place for a couple of nights.

Great hospitality. We checked in almost at 10.30 p.m. and Milo was there to receive us in person. He even helped is with our luggage up there flight v of stairs to his place Good breakfast spread. Rooms were cleaned every morning

Far from City on the highway. No public transport to town which was a major drawback. Rooms are relatively small. There is a kitchen but not equipped with pots and pans or any cleaning supplies Too many steps to get into the house

The Host Milo was fantastic, very accommodating, helpful will definitely stay here again if we went back to Dubrovnik. He even arranged a Croatian dinner at a lovely restaurant including transport. Just a fantastic stay experience overall!

Lovely stay

Excellent host. Tasty breakfast. Lovely to have a pool with sun loungers, and a terrace with sofas and sea view, to relax after exploring Dubrovnic. Clean room & comfortable bed.

A lot of steps up from Dubrovnic old town (good exercise!), although very accessible by taxi from town/port/airport as the main road is just behind (up a few more steps).

Superb

What a gem Milo, the host, was so kind Nothing was too much trouble and it’s clear he really does care about each guest. Milo organised an airport transfer for me and packed a breakfast bag for me to take as I was leaving early. Plus he carried my suitcase - a big bonus. The accomodation was spotless, the airconditioning fabulous and the wifi easy to use. The pool and surrounding areas were an oasis on a hot day and the views from the property superb. Loved that I could get some exercise in as I headed to the old town to explore. Thanks for your outstanding hospitality Milo. I will be back

Rooms were spacious with a big comfortable bed. Furniture may have been a bit old however extremely.

Breakfast was a very good continental choice. Always fresh with unlimited tea, coffee, fruit juice and water. Walking distance to the old town however many steps. Is on the number 3 bus route. Buses are easy to use.

Milos is a wonderful host, so welcoming with free drinks on arrival and great to chat to. Nice small swimming pool and seating area with sea views.

Such a lovely house...everything you'll need..nice breakfast..gracious owner...just keep in mind if you have any problem using stairs that might be a problem..Steep stairs to get to the old town..

Lovely stay away from the crowds

Really enjoyed my stay and I wish I could have stayed longer! The location is nice because it's walking distance to the old town and restaurants nearby. I liked that it was not IN old town because it was good to get away from the crowds. Super peaceful and quiet. Nice view. Loved the pool. Breakfast had many options. Milo was very accommodating!

I didn't mind it, but you do have to walk quite a few steps, however that is typical of about anywhere in the area! Just something to note if stairs are not easy for you.

A wonderful guest house & we shall return!

Everything! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He organised an airport taxi for us, which was excellent . Accommodation was exceptionally clean and a very good location. Super breakfast incluses.

Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of options. Rooms were very clean, of a good size and had great facilities, coffee machine, kettle, & fridge.

Wonderful stay

The pool was very refreshing, especially after walking up all the stairs from the Old Town! The family who own the Villa are incredibly welcoming and kind.

There's not much to do in the immediate area without going down into the Old Town (and then back up again) but the views more than make up for it!

Milo the host was awesome! The breakfast every morning was excellent, if you like European breakfast. Excellent home made bread and assortment of meats, cheeses and fruit. The location allowed reasonable access to the old town and Uber rides were reasonable.

The walk to town is downhill with many stairs. This can be a little daunting for older people and those not in good shape. Otherwise it was very fun to walk through the old streets to get to the old town.

We enjoyed our stay at the villa thoroughly. Milo made us feel very welcome and ensured we were comfortable throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent and kept us going for the day. We had a constant supply of coffee and other drinks in the room. Felt very relaxed whilst we were there. There was also a nice area to sit down and enjoy the view of the sea. It was very hot when we were there and I was thankful for the air con and fans which kept the room cool.

The Villa is within walking distance of old town but be prepared for walking steps back up to Villa from the old town. We were aware of this when we booked the villa. The number 3 bus does drop you near the villa but the bus was a bit hit and miss and the road is a bit precarious to cross. You can also take cabs back but they were costly and we only used them once.

The best place and host we could wish for to stay in Dubrovnik !

Our stay at Villa Klaic was truly wonderful. The location is perfect to arrive from the airport and go to the old town, very accessible by taxi / public transport and by feet. The room was perfect and very clean, having the AC is a game changer. We had everything we needed in the room. The house is beautiful, the pool is perfect with a wonderful view. Seeing the vegetables being grown in the garden is beautiful. The breakfast excellent and very garnished. A special thanks to the owner Milo who has made this stay unforgettable by his kindness and good mood from the moment we arrived to the minute we left (very very early and yet he prepared the breakfast for us). We already can’t wait to come back, thank you!

Great location, family atmosphere, and a comfortable stay!

Milo was the absolute best! From the ease of arranging the airport transportation to a wonderful greeting of a cool beverage, Milo was like family in an instant! The location to Old Town and the City walls was perfect for me. I could get there in a short walk. I loved and appreciated the hospitality and wonderful conversations during breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful and such a wide variety to choose from. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy! When I come back to Dubrovnik, I will be contacting Milo!

Fantastic 4 days. Nothing too much trouble for the host Milo. Very good breakfast. Location is not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Beautiful views and sunsets.

Amazing hosts and location

Milo and his family were the most welcoming hosts - Milo met us when we arrived and gave us a welcome drink, and sat chatting to us for 30 minutes. We really got the impression he wanted to get to know his guests and ensure they had the best experience in Dubrovnik. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The location was absolutely perfect - in a quiet residential area, but only 20 minute walk from the Old Town. Our room had a kitchenette and ensuite - perfect for longer stays. The pool was a lovely surprise - it's cosy and clean, and the afternoon sun hits it perfectly - what a delight! The continental breakfast had a good choice (and more!) including fresh bread, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurts, local pastries, and chocolate! The value for money is excellent considering the location and facilities.

Excellent continental breakfast laid on in the morning. Fantastic host. The cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. Lovely view of the sea. And free water bottles in the fridge in the room!

As everyone says, the steps are a killer, but you can always get a cab back from the old town to the villa.

Great stay, lovely room, very clean with added bonus of swimming pool! Views were beautiful both from the pool and breakfast each morning. Lovely host who also recommended great local restaurant. Water & beer were topped up each day which was a nice touch.
