OK for a SHORT stopover.

This is an old age care home. We cut our stay short and moved on.

Bit too far to walk to town. Skip the breakfast.

As you can see it was a mixed picture.

The suite of rooms was big, spacious and clean

Whilst some of the staff were lovely, I was treated with great disrespect and rudeness by a woman on reception when we had to return to collect a pillow that we forgot to take with us ( an anti snoring pillow, so very important). I have communicated with the staff with this. The woman raised her voice and slammed the doors when we arrived to collect teh pillow as she couldn't find it (even though we had had confirmation that it was there and waiting for us). I was very upset. It made the whole trip horrible. Also there was a large cleaning brush in the bathroom when we arrived, and a large cleaning tool and hose on the balcony too. It was as though we had arrived just as the cleaner had been, but had forgotten the cleaning equipment and left it in the room

location was excellent and staff helpful

Kitchen sink did not have a plug, there was no cleaning cloth or washing-up liquid, utensils were very basic and not clean. The shower had a strong unpleasant smell and was blocked. There was a hair on my pillow

Air conditioning broken and was one of my key criteria for hotel selection. Had to ask for towels as not in room Is also a retirement home so all rooms are wheelchair accessible which is good but the usual stupid European no shower screen and floor gets saturated so you have to mop entire room each time !? Very easily fixed with a shower screen ..

Location is convenient for an overnight stop over. Staff was friendly and available for a check in late at night.

It was absolutely not worth the money. It shouldn't be sold as a hotel. It's a retirement community with some spare rooms. Horribly small and uncomfortable bed. Very basic.

Grand house with clean well equipped apts and great views across vineyard!

Lovely location and a great apt. We were late to check in. We did eventually get through by phone and got gate code and there was someone on reception to give us room key. They could have given us gate in advance and let us know that front desk was manned but all was well in the end and we enjoyed our stay and excellent value!

it was a big room, with kitchen and desk.

the mattress on the bed was very thin the room wasn’t really furnished it turned out to be a temporary solution to use this room as hotel room since this is actually a resort for seniors 😂 they did not mention this in the description the kitchen was equipped as if nobody ever uses it for cooking, but it was there a fair price

Perfect place to stop between Paris and Switzerland in a pretty town

The perfect place to stop between Paris and Switzerland - we arrived at 10pm and a very friendly man let us in and assisted us finding our room. It was wonderfully prepared and looked out over a vineyard next door. Beaune itself was a lovely surprise, didn’t know it was such a cute town and it was the perfect place for lunch before we continued our travels :)

The location was close to our wine classes in Pommard. Parking available, people were very nice

It was not made obvious to us that this was a retirement home not a regular stay hotel. The shower did not have a curtain at all, showering was very uncomfortable as a result Minimalist room.

A big surprise - it’s an old peoples care home

It is an old peoples residential care home. obviously selling spare capacity. THIS WAS NOT OBVIOUS FROM THE BOOKING. The room was clean and functional- but had no character- just bare walls, no cushions, balcony chairs etc- difficult to relax

Ideal location, beautiful building with large grounds; huge apartment, balcony overlooking vineyards

Initially we were given a room without a balcony as promised. Laura, receptionist, was excellent and eventually sorted things out - it would not have been the same without a balcony - where we had breakfast, and sometimes dinner.

We were there for 7 nights. We were not offered change of sheets or towels (the latter we sorted ourselves) and we emptied our own rubbish. Was I expecting too much?

No wifi, no room for 5 people as promised in the publicity. One of my children slept on a mattress on the floor. In fact it is not a hotel but a retirement residence. Do not go there with high expectations. Prey if you have a problem.

Super!

La gentillesse de la personne à l'accueil qui nous a rems la clé. Quand nous sommes entrés, nous avons dit: "waouh" il y avait de l'espace, une table avec des chaises matelassées, un coin cuisine, la télé, une sortie sur l'espace vert, une grande chambre, beaucoup d'espace pour ranger nos affaires. Une belle salle de bain avec une douche italienne, le tout d'une très grande propreté. Par contre, nous avons dû demander le micro-onde inscrit dans la réservation, mais ce dernier nous a été fourni immédiatement. Je recommande cet endroit dans lequel on a nos aises, bien situé, et peu de différence de prix avec un hôtel 3 étoiles: nous y reviendrons. Je trouve également super de côtoyer ces personnes âgées qui occupent la majorité des appartements et de leur apporter un peu de bonheur en échangeant avec elles.

S'il vous manque quelque chose qui est inscrit dans la réservation et qui n'est pas dans l'appartement, n'hésitez pas à la demander: le personnel est à l'écoute et le service demandé est effectué très rapidement.

L’emplacement est super, pas besoin d’utiliser la voiture pour se rendre dans le centre de Beaune. La résidence est proroge, le personnel très agréable et la chambre était spacieuse.

Le prix du petit-déjeuner, que nous avons trouvé élevé par rapport à la prestation proposée.

Die Lage. Man konnte fußläufig in die Innenstadt von Beaune. Auch war es nachts angenehm ruhig.

Unfreundlicher Empfang durch eine mürrische Angestellte, die unseren Wunsch nach einem Zimmer in einer oberen Etage völlig ignorierte. Erst nach langem warten und wiederholten Nachfragen fand eine andere junge Angestellte doch noch eine Alternative. Wir stellten dann nach Bezug des Zimmers fest, dass es keine Heizkörper gab nur eine laute Klimaanlage, die sich immer wieder abstellte. Das Bett war viel zu schmal. Und auch keine 2m lang. Einfach gruselig. Der Müll wurde nicht entsorgt. Wir hatten 3 Nächte gebucht und besorgten uns in Eigenregie Mülltüten. Es gab viel zu wenig Geschirr. Zwei kleine Mokkatassen…
