Warm Welcome at Mercure Beaune.

Once again a very warm welcome at the Mercure and Geoff the barman is always very pleasant and helpful,great staff. Nothing is too much trouble.

Ideal location just outside city center with parking, comfortable rooms

Coffee machine in the room needed maintenance, there was only one normal coffee pad (and one decaf), the shower gel had an unpleasant smell (not very suited for men)

Easy to visit by car and a very comfortable place to stay.

It is easy to get to given its location and there's good parking. The pool was lovely for my children and rooms very spacious and comfortable.

Not so much a criticism but just to say the staff were great but at times a little stretched as the hotel was busy - popular obviously.

The rooms were small. Poor value for money. The restaurant was expensive for what it was. And in a £200 a night room we had paper cups for water that leaked overnight

Great stop for journeys to/from the South

Perfectly placed for breaking a road journey from the UK to southern France. Comfortable, clean, good facilities and friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff. Conveniently located for getting to/from the autoroute.

Hotel good - Restaurant poor!

Rooms were clean & bed comfortable. 10 minute walk into Beaune.

Restaurant staff were slow and petty much ignored you - unless you were French or French speaking. Waited 15 minutes for the menu’s. Had to ask three times for one drink and a glass of red that was ordered arrived well after the meal was finished. Complained but nothing happened. Stay at the hotel, but find somewhere else to eat!!!!!

Good enough for one night

The room design was great. Master bedroom area is separated by a wide slide panel. I also liked the pool area. Very nice in this hot summer! Breakfast was lavish, and the restaurant was rather good, too.

I'd expect bath robes in a 4-star hotel. Surprisingly, there were none in our room. Also, I think it should be possible to wash hands in a toilet and not to run around the whole place to the bathroom. That was rather inconvenient as our children had to rush through our bedroom every time they wanted to wash their hands. Also, the sliding panel made noise when moved. What is really a miss - not only the roof in the restaurant was leaking to the floor during rain, but the poodle stayed overnight and was accompanying us during breakfast.

We normally have breakfast when we stay but this time we had to leave very early so did not have time but generally it is very good. The location is excellent and the staff wonderful.

Having more than one normal teabag and coffee pod when have been nice as there was two of us. Also one water bottle.

Pleasant surprise - ideal location as if you have a car, there is plentiful parking on site.

Lovely surprise: clean, stylish and modern! Range of electric car chargers - we didn't use, but v useful for those en route to or from South France; great location as a v short walk into the medieval town of Beaune; although we didn't use, the hotel has an onsite swimming pool and offers towels to use - it was in the midst of a heatwave! Very stylish hotel (especially for a Mercure); had free water to fill your own bottles and a lovely lounge area with seating and books plus a stylish bar! Rooms great too

Bit of a 'bun fight' for breakfast as hard to find staff to take orders, but not sure how to correct as staff worked v hard to keep buffet and crockery/cutlery replenished. Good range of food to suit most tastes.

A Nice Place for a Very Quick Stay

Everything was clean and the staff was helpful, even though we struggled to find taxis servicing the area.

We had to leave early to make a train and we missed breakfast. I asked if we could have it removed from our bill, and they were unable to do that.

Perfect in everyway

Junior suite was amazing for our kids and dog. Very good size and well equipped. Amazing shower and bathroom. The twin room was equally as good and all clean. Amazing restaurant and bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definately return next year as a perfect stop over on route to the south.
