Durham house hotel

I am so glad we chose to stay at Durham House. From the moment we stepped in we were welcome and felt comfortable like at home. Stuart was a great host, from giving us directions to town centre to cooking us a delicious breakfast next morning. The beds were very comfortable and the cleaning was top notch. We travelled from London to attend Northumbria university open day and the hotel was perfect for the three of us with the family room having a en-suite bathroom.

The pillows were not very comfortable. The bathroom had no toiletries e.g shower gel despite the property details listing toiletries. Luckily there is a corner shop just round the corner where we could buy shower gel.

It was clean and very comfortable.The host was very kind, friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated the delicious breakfast.

Great location for what we needed it for. Good breakfast each morning, cooked fresh. Stuart was friendly and helpful with recommending places to eat and visit. Nice quiet hotel too.

Bedroom had everything we needed. However, the mattresses in our bedroom could do with replacing, especially the single bed, we could feel the springs through it. Small TV and no toiletries, but you get what you pay for.
