Oporto Chic&Cozy - Aliados

Really nice apartment, super central location and easy to get to. Check in and check out was super simple, and the building is great. It doesn’t look out the main square so it is quiet to sleep and peaceful. Super easy to use the metro and walk everywhere and feels very safe and upmarket. The furnishings are comfortable, we didn’t use the sofa bed but it was nice to sit on. The bed is comfortable and the bathrooms are nice. I’d stay here again.

There is a kitchen but not much for cooking. There was only one old pan and couple of pots. Also only one cup and a couple of espresso cups. It just needs a few more things to make it more comfortable. Even just to make some quick breakfast if you don’t feel like going out. I also found the a/c a bit temperamental and not very cold.

Amazing location, right in the centre of town. Comfy beds and good shower. Excellent communication with host.

Only one mug for our tea!

Location was great - close to public transport and easy walking to most central Porto attractions. Flat was spacious and well equipped. Felt very safe inside and around the area.

Laundry area made flat smell a bit musty - we kept windows open to clear the air. There was only 1 drinks mug for tea/coffee

This is a lovely property in a fabulous location. I would have given this too marks but there were a few problems with the en-suite bathroom that did affect our stay.

Problem with the temperature control on the shower. The tap handle had broken off and the shower only delivered extremely hot water. I let the property owner know and they said they would come and look at it but nothing happened and there was no further response. I was able to sort it out by gripping the spigot with a dry towel and turning it. Which was not easy. A pair of grips could have done it I no time. Fundamentally we couldn’t really have a shower for the first day we were there and if I hadn’t have sorted it myself we wouldn’t have been able to have a shower the whole time. On top of this the bathroom sink blocked. I found a plunger and dealt with it. Perhaps I should charge for the amateur plumbing I did.
