Stay with Ulluwatu sweeping Views

The location , staff are great . It has one of the best views .

The breakfast coffee specially . I love local Balinese coffee and the one we had at ubud hotel and canggu was way better .The bathroom has no lighting for getting ready . There are two basins but only one hand wash . The cocktail drinks at the beach club also need to be better .

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Anantara Uluwatu – a place that now holds our hearts Before arriving, we had read a few mixed reviews and honestly couldn’t understand how anyone could fault this place. We stayed at Anantara Uluwatu for six unforgettable days, and from the moment we arrived we felt completely at home. The resort itself is stunning, with views that take your breath away, but what truly makes this place extraordinary is the people. We were lucky enough to get engaged during our stay, and the night was made magical thanks to Arta and Yudi, who truly couldn’t do enough for us. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care made our engagement evening something we will cherish forever. We also want to give a very special mention to two absolutely fabulous interns, Faisal and Nova. Their professionalism, warmth, and confidence were beyond their years. They are incredible young people with very bright futures ahead of them🙏💫. A heartfelt thank you as well to the amazing kitchen team — chefs Oka and Ngurah — and to the wonderful interns Wisaya and Juna. Every meal was exceptional, and the pride they take in their work truly shows. Over our six days, the staff became more than just staff — they felt like family. Every greeting, every smile, every small moment of care made our stay incredibly special. A very special shout-out to Ari, our villa assistant, who looked after us so beautifully throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his warmth and genuine nature made us feel so comfortable and cared for every single day. This was not just a holiday for us — it was the beginning of a new chapter of our lives. Thank you, Anantara Uluwatu, for creating memories we will hold close forever. We can not fault the hotel. It’s 10/10. *If you are in a wheelchair, have bad knees or back then I’d recommend telling the reservations team when you book so they can put you in a room close to the reception for easy access as there are a lot of stairs around the hotel,

Very Good

Anantara Uluwatu has amazing cliffside views and a calm, boutique-style vibe. The atmosphere is refined and relaxed, and service is warm and attentive.

The rooms feel a bit dated and could use an update, and the breakfast was underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience.

View, location, the staff were very attentive, pleasant, helpful and caring. We had a couples massage and the staff were well trained and very good at their jobs, that ambience and style of the day spa was lovely x

The steep descent to the pool, also something that put us off a fair bit was, my husband was in waiting for the toilet near the swimming pool, a waiter from the pool side restaurant came out of the toilet cubicle and did not wash his hands. He went straight back to the restaurant…

a serious mold issue in the villa and a forced downgrade with lost time made the stay very disappointing.

The location and views are beautiful, and the staff were polite and tried to assist where they could. The resort facilities in general have good potential if renewed and the ocean-front setting is very nice.

The 3-bedroom villa we booked and prepaid was uninhabitable due to a strong mold smell, which became clear once scent diffusers were switched off. No other villas were available, so we were forced to move to two hotel rooms instead (one without a pool), which was a clear downgrade in space, privacy and facilities. We also lost a full travel day because the replacement rooms were only provided at 15:30 and 17:30, during which time we had no usable accommodation. This was very disruptive for our stay and not what we paid for.

The hotel was undergoing renovations and was very noisy. The pool was closed. Construction was taking place next to the fence. Very noisy. I do not recommend it.

We had the best holiday, and we have been telling everyone how good it was. It was so relaxing.

It was a very relaxing place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food amazing. One of the best relaxing holidays we have had for a long time

We were in room 205 The mosquitoes outside the room were horrendous. We could not sit outside on the beautiful balcony (day or night) with our private pool because of them. There were so many mosquitoes in the room as well. I suggest mosquito nets over the bed as we were badly bitten at night. The bathroom area was excellent but there were not enough towel hooks. There were not enough hooks for two towels and two robes (4 hooks). There were only 2 hooks. The wardrobe had 3 doors. The middle door slides open by itself; this needs to be fixed. We had to keep it closed using a shoe. The silver keeper to close at night to secure the front door was not aligned so it could not be used. There were many loose pool tiles on the floor of our private pool. The pool plumbing made a noisy continuous gurgling sound that we could not stop. It was the pipe in the drain where the water spills into. We requested attention to these 2 or 3 times, but the noise still continued after it was attended to. The drawer on the pool side of the bed, next to the bed, was broken and unable to be opened. We were not shown the light switch panels on arrival. There are in the joinery units next to both sides of the bed and they fold out of the joinery. They were closed on arrival. On our first night we could not turn the lights off until we could find them which took a long time as they were in the closed position.

The entire resort is stunning. We had a ocean view poll villa. The room was beautiful the pool was huge! The food was exceptional and so was the service from the staff. Your every need was catered for and all the little details made this stay even more epic.

I stayed in ocean view with pool. But no privacy in pool. Nearby infinity pool people and restaurant customers can see our pool. Staffs are good and room very clean. We ordered indian chicken curry with chappati which was not in that dinner menu but chef prepared for us.

No privacy in pool Everytime while going to 360 restaurant we hav to climb hundreds of steps. Its not good for middle aged and old persons.Also it is one hour travel from airport and remote area

Brilliant hotel, had everything you could want and excellent staff throughout

Staff were adorable, very efficient and could not do enough for you. Manager and Deputy Manager were very attentive and great attention to detail. Felt confident that any problem could be solved. Juli in Spa was also great. Enjoyed the morning exercise classes too.

Amazing location with views and away from the hustle & bustle of the street but close enough to get to restaurants, bars etc. Loved the room pool for afternoon sun & downtime to ourselves.

The pool area is quite small for seating so you need to get down early to secure seats. Breakfast buffet is sufficient but it’s not as extensive as some resorts/hotels.

Great staff and Service, slightly outdated rooms

Loved the location. Quietly nestled in the heart of the commercial strip. The staff professionalism and level of service is what is expected from an Anantara. We appreciated every single one from reception, to room service and waiters near the pool bar. Very Clean!!

You feel the room is a bit outdated. Furniture, fittings, just small things that are not up to expectation (and price levels). AC broke down in our last night.

The set changes to menu and not being able to have things some nights. EG we did 3 nights but set menu's meant we would miss say a la carte and it was Curry night. Not a fan of curry.

Amazing Stay in Uluwatu

Excellent hotel. Room was great, very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The hotel itself is exceptional with great views of the beach from the room. Breakfast was excellent each morning. Pool facilities were great. Hotel staff were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Uluwatu.

All in all, a 3+ star hotel pretending they are still 5 stars from the time when perhaps it was in its prime.

The staff were very friendly, always smiling, great sense of safety.

The property is sadly very dated and really showing signs of being run down, which is pretty disappointing considering the prices being charged (three nights here for our two rooms was the same cost as a week in a luxurious 2-BR villa with staff in Canggu) The photography online is very flattering in comparison to the reality. The rooms smelt damp and quite unhealthy at times. The breakfast restaurant is really dated and tired (though the staff were lovely). Down by the pool deck, a wooden balustrade was falling apart, with missing pieces of wood and screws (it was really wobbly and unsafe).

The room wasn’t 5 star quality…. Toilet didn’t flush, we had to go to the gym bathroom, received stained bathrobes, a fridge that didn’t work and the whole place just wasn’t clean enough, including the gym facilities, the fridge was mouldy. It doesn’t look like it’s been kept well and it’s not worth the money

Views were stunning and rooms were very spacious. Food selection for non-allergy eaters was great. We would return.

Although we arrived early, both rooms were only available after normal check in time. One of the rooms 40mins after normal check in. The sheets in this room were blood stained and not changed. Housekeeping fixed this quickly for us. High occupancy was blamed. We had a coeliac (gluten free food required) with us, there were not a lot of options and even basics had gluten. Staff were accommodating mixing menu options for us which was appreciated. Room service menu was very limited.

Great Stay with a Few Small Downsides

We stayed in an Ocean View Suite at Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort and had a pleasant and comfortable experience overall. The staff welcomed us warmly and were consistently polite, attentive, and helpful. Our suite was clean, spacious, and offered a stunning view of the ocean. Fresh fruit in the room added a thoughtful and personal touch. The resort has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere — ideal for a relaxing retreat.

Prices for food and services are relatively high compared to similar resorts in Bali. Smoking is highly restricted on the property. It’s not allowed on balconies or in most outdoor areas. There are only two designated smoking spots: one near the lobby and one at the pool bar. The resort is located in a rather isolated area, surrounded mostly by construction. If you don’t drive a scooter, you’ll need a taxi to get into town. A 15-minute walk is possible, but it’s not the most convenient option. The beach is only accessible during low tide and not suitable for sunbathing — you can walk along it, but not spend time lounging.
