An unforgettable and heart-warming stay that exceeded all my expectations.

I had an amazing stay at White Palm Hotel! Petra and all the staff, including the owners, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. You can really feel that they care about their guests. The hotel itself is beautiful, extremely clean, and very well maintained, plus, their two adorable resident cats, Romeo and Juliet — they made the whole experience even more charming and memorable. Everything exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend staying here — I would definitely come back! 💛

Misleading Listing and Poor Conditions — Avoid the “Hot Tub” Room

We booked a room with a hot tub, but were shocked to find active construction work taking place directly outside our room. The workers could see straight into our space, leaving us with no privacy, and the constant noise made it impossible to relax. None of this was mentioned in the listing or reflected in the price. When we explained this to the receptionist, we were shown an alternative apartment — but it had no hot tub or bath (which was one of the reasons we booked this room) and there was a large trail of red ants across the floor. We then asked for a refund at this point, but were told we would need to go through Booking.com. We left the property, trusting that the refund would be processed, but the owners have since ignored all communication from both Booking.com and ourselves. Additionally, the condition of the room was poor: doors and windows did not close properly, there was a hole in the roof allowing insects to enter, and there were no mosquito nets over the bed. Making the stay extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic. Overall, this experience was deeply disappointing and nearly ruined our holiday. I would strongly advise avoiding the “hot tub” room — or better yet, look elsewhere for accommodation where you’ll get the comfort and honesty you’re paying for.

Not a negative, but you would need a car or scooter to get around easily from this area of Denpasar if your goal is to play tourist. Otherwise highly recommend for getting away from the city to relax on the property or visit the beach.

Disappointed

The bed was comfortable

Value for money was poor, not even refill of coffee or tea. No seaview or room with pool view as advertised. Room was old. We paid $2450 for 5 nights. Room had no glasses or cutlery very disappointed . Lights diddnt work, We had to ask them for everything and also had to ask them to make your room daily. We were disappointed 😞

The staff are lovely, the food excellent, the cocktails are great, the pool is nice and the rooms pleasant.

Probably a bit over priced for where it is. Not easy to walk anywhere particularly interesting but good for surfers.

Enjoyed the daily complimentary breakfasts and chats with other guests. Petra and all the staff are lovely and always available to help out. Our room was clean and tidy and very comfortable bed. We enjoyed that it was a quiet place to stay and unwind on holiday with beach and other resorts close by.

The decor and set up of the pool, the gardens, the dining area and rooms created a really relaxing atmosphere. Being small also made it peaceful without the bustle of a lot of people that bigger hotels or resorts have. The staff were fabulous! Petra was always responsive to requests and super helpful!

A laid back place to be

It is very Instagramable as everything was monochrome. Staff was friendly and attentive. We booked the 2bedroom suite and we could check in earlier. Very laid back hotel , staff don't start till 8ish. The salt water pool is a bonus. They allowed us to change to the individual villas due to the noise. We loved the small touch of a kids tent and a small kitchenette that comes with a water machine. When we changed to the individual villas , bit disappointed that there wasnt a bidet in the bathroom and also 1 of the units have ants constantly on the sink wall.

The suite we chose is facing the main road so noise is an issue for us as we have a 2yr old. It can be quite loud with the trucks n bikes. Didn't realise there wasnt a tv in the room when we booked it.

An oasis near Balangan Beach

The hotel itself is beautiful and located only a moment from Balangan Beach. The interior design is modern and fantastic and still retains Balinese elements. The pool and outdoor area are beautiful and the property itself is maintained so well. The food is incredible and all the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend this place!

Thiefs!!!! I have been there 1 month ago. I paid by my credit card, already everything has to be paid before your staying. Today they charged me again for nothing! I am not in Bali now, I am in totally different country and they stole my money fromy my back ccount. Going to call my bank and lower. I DONT recommnend!!! Dont visit this hotel!!!

Cute boutique hotel! Relaxing stay! Good vibes!

Conveniently close to Balangan Beach and Mazu Beach club, only a 5 minute walk. There are scooters for rent at the hotel, which you can take to explore nearby beaches. The hotel grounds are small, but intimate and styled in tasteful Bali boho chic decor. The breakfast is healthy and delicious! Stephanie, was incredibly helpful with recommendations on must-see locations. Grateful that she helped faciliate a reservation at beautiful Karma Kandara beach.

Seemed like the AC was not fully functioning, but may have been only our unit. A bit of a trek from more populated Pecatu and Bingin area where there are more bars and restaurants.

Only negative thing I have to say is that we were woken at 8am by banging right beside our room by hotel staff doing some sort of work… we were told we would get 2 free drinks to compensate for this inconvenience however still had to pay for the drinks when ordered. Also slightly more expensive compared to similar hotels.

Overall, we enjoyed or stay here, but the facilities themselves could use better care / cleaning.

The staff was wonderful, very communicative, and worked to ensure that we were well taken care of. They even brought some coconut water and activated charcoal to our room when one of us was feeling sick. One of the owners is a chef, so breakfast was delicious! The pool was very nice and peaceful.

The rooms could have been cleaner. Shower did not drain well.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of nowhere :)

Beautiful, well decorated hotel with superb hotel stuff, close to the beach and close to the view point.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't an issue for me, because I knew where I'm going but I think it is worth to mention about it. Very expensive food, I was surprise that I have to pay so much for a burger. But the thing I didn't like the most was really narrow beds in twin room which caused that I couldn't sleep properly because I was affraid that I fall down from bed.

I could have stayed there for weeks.

Loved the comfy beds and pillows. Towels nice and thick and fluffy. The food was amazing and we ate at the restaurant everyday. Aircon was nice and cold esp the downstairs rooms beside the pool. Highly recommend those. Really is a little jewel hotel in a beautiful spot in Bali. Belangan beach is still so Bali 20years ago. Little warungs on the beach and some surf on good days. The owners are european and a chef so we had a private dinner just for us. He also does cooking classes. Absolutely divine. We will be back there without a doubt.

Warning, don't be fooled, we had to leave after one night, it was the worst place by far from the 7

Breakfast was just awful. We ordered crepes with butter and jam, the butter was swimming in water and the crepes were like cardboard. Also ordered the worst scrambled eggs I have ever tasted. If scrambled eggs prove a challenge then you have got problems.

Appreciate that Bali and this place had zero revenue for 3 years through covid but I would urge any potential visitor to expect a completely polar opposite experience that what is seen on their marketing material. So disappointed with this place, even the owners were too embarrassed to speak with us! We paid £140 per night, it wasn't worth £14!

The location near the beach was convenient.

For the price, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. To me, it smelled like the resident cats and I was a little off-put by the water bottles placed in the bathroom, fridge placed on the floor (with a leaking A/C dripping over it), and the Mr. and Mrs. pillowcases (for two single ladies). These, along with a few communication challenges regarding the airport transport, made the stay a little disappointing.

Please see the following list: 1. we didn’t get a welcome drink (for 3 guests) 2. Rooftop yoga was not available (see the image attached) 3. Same goes for the COCO spa 4. „White Palm Team will make your life easier by being available to assist you at any time“ - not even an umbrella was available (it’s rain season), neither was there any kind of support offered to me and my daughter while being sick such as a hot water bottle, which we asked for. Furthermore, the taxi that we wanted to order was triple the price of the neighboring hotel. All previous inconveniences have been already stated in our first mail. After all, we are truly disappointed by our stay at your hotel and by the fact that there was no effort to reply to our concerns. 1. Email an das Hotel my name is Bibiana Grosser and we are currently residing in your White Palm Hotel in Bali. The day we arrived it was raining a lot and we got awfully wet, carrying our luggage while none of the three stuff members intended to help us. The next morning we were disapointed by our breakfast - as we expected more options - and especially by the apparent impossibility to get a second coffee. Attached you will find a photo of the toilette which is looks very unhygenic to us. The wifi only works sporadically which causes us some problems as we expected to work from here. Today it was very unfortunate that after a swim in the pool I couldn‘t shower due to a lack of running water. Ironically, I had a lot of small lakes of water in the bathroom which seem to come from a roof that is not fully waterproofed. All these occurrences do not correspond at all to what I would expect from a hotel for which I pay 390€ a night. It is so disappointing that the stay at your
