Hotel nice and clean, staff very helpful and friendly.

The pool area is very tired and in need of repairs. I was disappointed the whirlpool wasn't working, as that was one of the reasons I chose this hotel . There was also lots of young children in the pool. Now I have nothing against them but when you book a quiet retreat you expect a quiet retreat. The breakfast was okish . Only just warm . Plenty on offer but disappointed, you expect more from a hotel spa and golf resort.

Whilst food was ok in general a lack of vegetables added to dishes was disappointing . Their billing process is complex and they fail to itemise clearly all credits and debits which would then support customer understand of the final bill

Afternoon tea was gorgeous. The dining and bar area was lovely and cosy. The staff member I think called Liam at the restaurant was so helpful such a nice friendly accommodative person. The man on reception with the long hair younger man, he could do with some personality training, he seemed miserable.

The pool water was so cold and the walls could do with a brighter colour to make it feel more inviting as it was quite blue. The heating up would’ve been great.

Great sized room which was immaculate. Nice selection of items in the complimentary mini bar. The bar area was a lovely place to spend the evenings

I thought the breakfast was great however feel the quality of food on the main menu at dinner could have been better quality for the price.

We had a very relaxing time and enjoyed the spa very much.

It is in a lovely location and its overall layout and appearance are good. The staff were excellent and the food and drink prices are good.

Some parts were a little run down and the building was cold; despite efforts to use fan heaters to improve the situation.

Amazing hotel and very helpful staff.

The room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Staff were very nice, polite and helpful. Receptionist Olivia and bartender Ewelina were very professional and extremely helpful. The spa facility was very good, clean and great for both, kids and adults. I highly recommend this hotel

Anniversary chillout

Loved the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Luckily people were leaving and we managed to use 2 of the poolside loungers.

Breakfast on Sunday morning was chaotic. Arrived 9.15am to be told there were no tables available and to wait in the bar. Decided to have breakfast in the bar as there were a few tables available in there. The coffee from the self service machine was awful.

It was a nice stay not great but nice

The location and the onsite facilities

The room was cold and when I asked about it explaining I needed batteries for the remote, Lawrence told me to use the control on the wall just inside the archway . When this didn’t work I called reception and they sent a maintenance man to the room who said I needed batteries in the remote to make the air con work.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go again.

Our extended family met for a reunion so we had dinner and were served by Emma and Holly who were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We requested a quiet room with a walk-in shower which is what we got. Breakfast was self serve almost anything you wanted was there and you could eat as much as you needed. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Unfortunately a leak developed overnight in our bathroom which made visits to the bathroom in the middle of the night a little difficult.

Ideal stay for work. Very comfortable bed, lovely toiletries and plenty of hot water available. Welcoming staff. Super meal in the restaurant. Excellent selection at breakfast.

Great property, setting splendid room, reception area impressive , lounge bar bit chilly , leisure centre gorgeous. Laurence in reception provided exceptional service well done 👏 thank you.

Some of the male waiters manners and attitude leave a lot to be desired. Abrupt , to the point of being quite rude, def treating a man & woman couple vastly different to my friend & I, not having a /good understanding/command of the English language. To the point of completely embarrassing us , upon arriving to the restaurant to take our table. Unsatisfactory food (rubbery ravioli) yet again questioning & having to repeat myself numerous times, saying he would get his manager & never bothering to actually do so. It took me to take it up with the manager myself- Amanda - who was absolutely BRILLIANT & finally resolved issues.

Bed is not comfortable. Spider webs, rust, poorly made repairs . Lack of attention from the staff, even in the restaurant. Not even Hello and Goodbye. Seriously Overpriced. Children are only allowed in the pool at certain times-not great if you brought them in with you for a spa weekend.

Nice setting, views over golf club and herds of roaming deer

It was nice to have a tea tray and hair dryer in the room. All the staff were great - friendly and helpful. The setting looked fabulous but we didn't get to appreciate it as arrived at 6pm for Frank Bruno event and left at 7.45am the next day.

Bedroom corridors and stairs within were dimly lit and hard to see. The lighting in bedroom was not easy to work out, with some lights on central switch and others not. None of the lights gave bright light if you were looking for missing items. The bathroom was below expectations - water pressure, dated

They gave me the wrong room type and I had no access for my pushchair so I had to carry it down steps to my room and the room was not equipped for a family and not worth the money

Rude Restaurant staff

Hotel is nice

staffs at reception are not friendly and in the main restaurant are very arrogant, except one lady who tried to help, rest all were acting very strange and rude. Bar staffs on the contrary we super helpful.

Poorly stocked coffee / tea on room tray, bedside light had not been checked and was not working on arrival, shower gel not replenished - almost empty on arrival. Certain reception staff seemed disinterested at best. For £250 per night I would expect much higher standards
