A great time in a lovely hotel

The location is perfect, just 5 minutes on foot from the cable car. Very friendly, helpful staff. I particularly like the spa and wellness center, perfect for relaxing after a skiing day. Also, the daily housekeeping service is impressive.

Unlike the previous year, this year our room was in a different wing of the hotel, without a lift, so it was a bit hard for me to move around, as I had a skiing accident on the last day and I had difficulties going up and down the stairs...

Could have been amazing.

Property was always clean and tidy. The spa facilities are lovely. Chill out rooms, infrared, saunas, steam room, pool etc however please be aware this is Europe and wearing swimwear in the spa facilities are not allowed. We therefore did not feel comfortable going in our birthday suits so didn't actually get to use the majority of them! The property is about 10-15 minute walk from the main Giggijoch gondola however a lift station just up the road from the hotel but please be aware that if you're having lessons the meeting point is at the top of the Giggijoch station. The walk is quite nice as we left our ski's at the top of the Giggijoch so was a nice stretch before/ after skiing. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook basic meals, it's also great having a decent size fridge. Freezer is a small compartment but we found we didn't need this so wouldn't too much of an issue.

The room we had did not look like the photos shown online. The bathroom was VERY dated and nothing like the new modern ones shown. We asked if we could swap rooms to be told there was only ONE other room of that category and when they showed us it, it was worse than the one we were allocated. We found it hard to believe considering we came out of season and the hotel was very quiet. Apart from one or two ladies on reception, we found the team very cold and unwilling to help. The rooms are also very noisy. They're not well sound proofed and every morning at 5.30/6am we were woken up by the room above us and we had to ring down 3 of the nights due to loud music going on until early hours. Staff are not at the reception desk 24/7 so there wasn't much we could do and even when we did get hold of reception, they didn't seem to do very much!! The bed is very soft. Not ideal after skiing or if you have any aches. Coffee pods were provided with the coffee machine, we asked reception for some more mid week and then at the end of the trip found we had been charged. Wouldn't have been an issue but we were not told about this. Room was poorly laid out and actually could have enhanced the space a lot more. There was not worktop space in the kitchen, we had to put the chopping board over the hob which therefore beeped until chopping board was removed. We also had a small sofa, but the TV was on the sofa wall therefore you couldn't sit and watch tv and the tv was above your head.

Something awesome!

I was completely amazed by this hotel. It is really a gem in Solden and whenever i will be in this town, I will definitely be back in this hotel. Awesome room with artificial fireplace was just stunning. Lovely view, outstanding spa (in price of course) and close to whatever you may need. In elevator I felt like I was in Dubai. Thank you very much for unforgetable stay. :-)

Unless you are on the top floor it is very noisy and the cleaners just barge in at 7:30. Wouldn’t recommend attending over Xmas very little open and the restaurant did a set menu at €96 per person excl drinks very expensive

Great place, though lacking some attention to detail.

The place is really nice. It has an interesting vibe. Parking is plentiful both in front and in a large underground garage. Our room and bathroom were super spacious. Also there was a very convenient kitchen. The location is superb. Great selection of saunas.

A big complaint is the complete lack of any kind of "do not disturb" sign for the doors, and the removal of improvised ones - which leads to constant disturbances from cleaning staff if you are sleeping in late or just don't want your room cleaned - really didn't like that! Bike storage is also underground, so dragging heavy e-bikes up and down a flight of stairs is not the most fun thing ever. Someone from the cleaning staff had decided to wash the floors of the bike storage, where I had stored some e-bike batteries in the corner as it was the most fire-safe place. Getting them very wet in the process! Definitely didn't enjoy that!
