Breakfast was excellent. Location excellent.
Rooms a little small when travelling with more than one suitcase. Shower was extremely slippery.

The hotel is in a great location and overall we had a very pleasant stay. The breakfast was excellent – generous, fresh and with plenty of choice – and the beautiful courtyard was a real highlight. We loved sitting outside there in the mornings having breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was always very clean. We stayed in a smaller double room on the second floor. Unfortunately, the soundproofing was quite poor. We could hear people talking in other rooms and squeaking doors in the corridor. We were also surprised that the corridors were being vacuumed as early as 7–8 a.m. during the weekend, which was quite disturbing when trying to sleep. The main downside, however, was the lack of a proper window. Our room faced some kind of inner courtyard or enclosed area, and instead of a normal window we only had solid shutters. As it was around 36°C during our stay, opening the shutters would have let a lot of heat into the room. Keeping them closed, however, meant there was no natural daylight at all. It felt very strange to pay the full room rate for what was essentially a room without a usable window. We considered raising this with the hotel but decided not to spend our holiday dealing with a room change, especially as we mostly used the hotel for sleeping. On the positive side, the air conditioning worked very well and was surprisingly quiet. The beds were extremely firm, although the pillows were very comfortable. Overall, a lovely hotel in a fantastic location, with a beautiful courtyard, excellent breakfast and helpful staff. We would consider staying again, but only if we could be guaranteed a room with a proper window and natural daylight.
