Relaxing and charming experience

Amazing: - location, views, atmosphere (this was the first time I was woken up in the morning by cow bells jingling, and I loved it). It's also neither too close nor too far from the center of Oberstdorf, which makes it perfect for long walks downtown. - cozy, modern and spacious rooms and bathrooms - staff - friendly, polite, helpful. That goes for all staff we encountered - restaurant staff, front desk staff, and the maids. Special shoutout to the front desk gentleman whose shift it was on Sept 24-26, and who was a big help to us on three separate occasions. - vast meal selection at breakfast. Perfect also for sweet breakfast lovers like me. Great: - cleanliness of the entire hotel

- hotel WiFi. When connected to it, no pages would load, with only about 3 short-lived exceptions. This was the case in the entire hotel, so not just my room. I spent my stay using my own data. - the bathtub doesn't have anti-slip surface, and the screen is too small to prevent water splashing on the floor - breakfast buffet nitpick: please make forks and knives as available for guests as spoons and teaspoons are. Guests don't enjoy having to ask waiters for a clean fork/knife each time we drop ours, or simply want a clean one to eat a different food with (think a plate of bacon first, then a plate of fruit).

NIce stay with great location

The view from the hotel was overlooking a big field where you can sit and enjoy the view forever.

Food was OK. It would have been great if we could sit outside for breakfast and enjoy the superb view but it was not equipment due to the wasps and everyone was only sitting inside which was difficult to understand as you go to this place for the view and the nature.

brilliant, lovely staff, clean hotel and great views

The location is great on the edge of Obertsdorf with beautiful views and only a 10 min stroll into the centre. Tony in the bar was great and Antonia in reception was also great., and both spoke excellent English. All staff we met were friendly.

the aircon only would go down to 18 degrees and cut off continually through the night.

Covid restriction issues

The staff were very Accommodating with any issues that I encountered and the facilities, room, location are excellent but the price relates to that.

With current restrictions in place for hotels due to Covid 19 there is an issue with regards to eating in the restaurant in the evening. Unless you are a half board guest there is no room or availability for you to eat in your own hotel due to the restrictions in place due to numbers. I would therefore suggest that this needs to be highlighted on the website or booking site prior to someone booking that this is an issue or come up with a system for example offer room service for free to anyone who wants to eat or a time slot availability or a reduction in the price of a room as a full service is not being offered. I would however like to praise the staff for their excellent help in sorting out this matter while I was there.

Das Hotel liegt vor einer unbebauten Fläche und man hat einen schönen Ausblick auf die Berge. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Schöne Ferienwohnung zum erholen.

Die Lage sehr zentral, zu den Wanderwegen, ins Zentrum . Bushaltestelle quasi vor der Haustür. Kostenlose Parkplätze am Haus .Die Wohnung großzügig , sauber und sehr neu eingerichtet. Balkon mit schöner Aussicht. Sehr schöner Saunabereich im Keller. Aufzug vorhanden. Ein sehr ruhiges und angenehmes wohnen.

Sauber, aber deutlich eingeschränkter Komfort , der den 4-Sterne-Anspruch nicht erfüllt hat.

Die Zimmerausstattung

Unser Zimmer befand sich im Nebengeäude, leider ohne direkten Durchgang zum Hauptgebäude. Da der Pool im Nebengebäude außer Betrieb war, mussten wir für jeden Besuch im Wellnessbereich den Außenweg nutzen. Das bedeutete: Winterjacke anziehen, 100 Meter laufen und vor Ort wieder ausziehen. Gerade in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel hätten wir hier deutlich mehr Komfort und eine durchdachtere Lösung erwartet. In einem 2–3-Sterne-Haus wäre das eher nachvollziehbar gewesen. Zusätzlich war die Parksituation frustrierend. Die E-Parkplätze wurden regelmäßig von Fahrzeugen ohne E-Kennzeichen belegt, wodurch das Laden unseres Autos nicht möglich war und wir täglich erneut auf Parkplatzsuche gehen mussten. Bei der Ankunft war die Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer defekt und wurde erst nach etwa 24 Stunden repariert. Hinter der Maschine befand sich zudem sichtbar Staub, der den Eindruck vermittelte, dass dort schon länger nicht gründlich gereinigt worden war. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass das Zimmer selbst insgesamt sauber war. Allerdings musste man nicht nur für den Wellnessbereich, sondern auch für das Frühstück jedes Mal den Weg nach draußen antreten. Das hat den sonst angenehmen Gesamteindruck spürbar geschmälert, da der Komfort an dieser Stelle deutlich verloren ging.

Expérience catastrophique. Un hôtel est censé servir avant tout à dormir. Ici, même ça, ils en sont incapables. Le lit est d’une qualité déplorable, inconfortable au point de rendre la nuit impossible. Matelas mou, affaissé, sensation de dormir dans un trou. Quand on paie un prix très élevé (plus que 400CHF la nuit pour 2 adultes), on est en droit d’attendre au minimum un lit correct. Ce n’est pas un luxe, c’est la base. À ce niveau de tarif, proposer un couchage aussi mauvais est tout simplement inadmissible. Résultat :sentiment très clair de s’être fait arnaquer. À fuir absolument. Si vous cherchez un endroit pour dormir correctement, ce qui est pourtant la fonction première d’un hôtel, passez votre chemin.

Das Personal war mega freundlich . Egal wer , alle waren klasse . Die Lage ist mega .

Für ein Superior Zimmer war die knarzende Baumarktdusche sehr unpassend . Der Speisesaal wirkte Abends im Dunkeln sehr kalt , ohne jegliche Deko oder etwas Musik im Hintergrund . 10 Euro pro Nacht für die Tiefgarage ist angesichts des Hotelpreises auch völlig überzogen .

Perfekter Kurzurlaub.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage am Ortsrand mit Blick auf die Kuhweiden und Berge. Dadurch war es angenehm ruhig und entspannend. Insgesamt war’s auch im Haus angenehm ruhig, wir hatten durch ein Upgrade ein wunderbar großes Zimmer mit bequemen Betten und einem schönen Blick vom Balkon. Das Personal war sehr nett, beim Frühstück gibt es alles, was man sich im Hotel erwartet. Der Wellnessbereich ist schön gestaltet und sauber. Man ist zu Fuß schnell im Ortskern, alles in allem hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.

Dass man bei jeglicher Art 100m Luftlinie ins Hotel gehen musste, da dass Nebengebäude nicht direkt daneben war. Man hat sich ausgeschlossen gefühlt.

Idyllisches Alpenhotel im Allgäu

Das Hotel befindet sich in herrlich ruhiger Ortsrandlage und hat alles, was man sich für einen Aufenthalt im Allgäu wünscht, eine wunderschöne Aussicht und ein typisches alpenländisches Ambiente. Es hat einen gut ausgestatteten Fitnessraum, ein hübsches kleines Schwimmbad und alles ist zu jeder Zeit nutzbar. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich und von ausgezeichneter Qualität und Frische.

Der umworbene Oktoberfest-Abend war leider eine herbe Enttäuschung.

Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub!

Wir waren im Nebengebäude untergebracht, das auch einen Pool und Sauna hatte, das wir ausgiebig genutzt haben.

Es wurde nebenan ein Haus gebaut. Der Baulärm war ziemlich heftig. Zum Glück war das Wetter gut und wir waren fast den ganzen Tag unterwegs.

Best Western Plus?

Der Pool sowie im Haupt- und im Nebengebäude in dem wir nicht wissentlich untergebracht wurden war super auch für unseren kleinen . Waren erst etwas skeptisch aber dann von den Zimmern, 2 Häuser weiter positiv überrascht.

Best Western Plus habe ich hier leider nicht verspührt da ich Best Western eigentlich besser von mehrmaligen geschäftlichen Aufenthalten in der Röhn kenne . Der Check In war eher eine Abfertigung, obwohl die Mitarbeiterin sehr bemüht war konnten 2 andere Kunden rücksichtslos dazwischen reden ohne das diese um ein kurzes Warten gebeten wurden . Halbpension konnte nicht gebucht werden, auf Nachfrage am Nachmittag wegen des Abendessens hieß es etwas unfreundlich das sei nicht möglich ohne Reservierung da zu wenig Personal vorhanden sei . Sind dann zum essen in die Stadt gelaufen.
