Very nice hotel. Nice rooms. Everything looks brand new and modern. Good location. Nice view. Free parking at the entrance. Very nice staff. Super friendly. At reception and restaurant.(except 1)
The older restaurant lady was REALLY unfriendly. (Every morning) I travel al lot, but never experienced this before. She even made me feel embarrassed when starting a loud discussion in front of all guest. (A pity, because the young girls were all super friendly. Please let them run the restaurant!) I came here to relax and enjoy. But the breakfast was stressful so early in the morning. Without that lady it would have been a 10/10.

Exceptional
Sonnenburg in Schwende is a great place to relax and enjoy most beautiful, natural scenery. It is close to some great hiking/biking paths and there is a busstop just in front of the hotel that connects you to more places that you would like to discover on foot, by bike, or, in winter, by skiing. The sauna and spa area is fantastic, the massages, yoga and stretching sessions are wonderful. There is a variety of breakfast options that includes everything I could have wished for, the 4 course dinners were really delicious - there is always a vegetarian option and the food was healthy and regional. I stayed less than a week in this place and feel wonderfully relaxed and recharged.

A very modern hotel with an extremely good kitchen. The breakfast and dinner were perfect! We enjoyed the spacious rooms and the whole ambiance of the hotel
The staff at the reception were friendly but a bit too sarcastic. We sometimes felt as if it was too much when we asked some things. On the other hand: the staff of the breakfast and dining room were extremely friendly.
