A lovely setting in a perfect location
My single room was tiny but felt bigger due to its balcony. Also, it was stylish, comfortable and quiet. The front desk reception staff were helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious and bountiful and the staff in that restaurant were helpful. I loved the pool area and relaxation room with a view overlooking the sea.
The staff in the evening restaurant were not particularly friendly or attentive. I waited far too long for the service. The food was not up to the price, edible but not excellent. I ended up eating at other local restaurants. I had problems with a couple of broken things in my room which were eventually fixed. They gave me a free breakfast to make up for the inconvenience.

You need to book parking before hand. make sure you do that.

The room is comfortable and there are nice views. The breakfast and terrace are nice. The location is very good.
Drinks from the bar took a long time to arrive even though we were the only guests at the bar. It seemed like the bar man was busy preparing drinks for guests in the restaurant. When I asked for the wine menu, I was handed a menu for other drinks that did not include wine... Worst of all, I travelled with an elderly men who needs a trolley to walk. This hotel even though it is 5 stars and a lot of its guests are elderly, is not disabled friendly, not even slightly. There is no bathroom in the huge area of restaurant and bar as well as outdoor terrace. You need to take the elevators down and then walk quite some time (from an elderly persons perspective) to find the bathroom. Finally before entering the bathroom you need to climb up three additional stairs which proved extremely difficult for the elderly men I travelled with. Also in the lounge area there are some unnecessary steps. This is an old prestigious hotel and I cannot understand this. Please make this hotel disabled or elderly friendly.

the location is amazing, overlooking the bay and bridge
staff tried to ignore you, they were arguing amongst themselves creating an unwelcome atmosphere. The facilities are a bit tired, scratches on the floor, greying towels, sink plug not working….
