Would unfortunately not come back

The mill and the nature around it was really beautiful, the bed comfy and I had a view of the small park outside with the river, which was lovely. The bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently and there weren‘t many guests

Quite a lot unfortunately. When we arrived the heaters were all set to 5 degrees, meaning it was really cold in the room. I slept with my clothes and socks on. The wifi didn’t work properly (or not at all actually), meaning the TV didn’t work either, the bed sheets didn’t seem completely clean, the staff wasn’t that friendly at times, and I was awoken by the housemaids every morning at 7am since their room was right next to mine and they slammed the doors on the regular. To top it off; the shower doors didn’t close properly because a small piece that was supposed to hold them in place, had broken off. It also seemed like they were trying to save on every possible thing (very thin toilet paper, cardboard cups instead of glasses, the cheapest snacks that were then sold for 5€ a pack etc). The location is also quite dangerous for when you have pets; my dog and I were nearly run over because the mill is located directly next to a small street often used by locals, that drive way too fast past. And since the river can be quite loud when it has rained recently, one only hears a car coming when it’s a few meters away. Obviously not the fault of the mill owners, but would have been good to know! Also their additional charge for dogs was 17.50€ per night, which I found compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at, quite expensive. They did give me one night for free, thanks for that! Really a shame though; had been wanting to come here for a long time and was a bit disappointed.

Wonderfull, we will be back

SImplicity of the natural location and the buildings historic aspect. Friendly reception as before.

The restaurant, we have now eaten here twice on different occasions and while it's good food we thought that for the price we could have a bit more flavour. Nice presentation, friendly serving staff, nice wine, but flavours could be better.

Great place to stay for a couple of days.

The location is great if you love nature and the outdoors. Staff was nice. Bathroom was good.

We had a family room which was basically a hallway with 3 rooms and a bathroom but we couldn’t lock the hallway door so people would be able to enter our bathroom if they wanted to.

Good stop for Eislek trail

Restaurant and place to sit outside is realy nice.

Great! Would stay here again.

Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The beds and room were clean. The staff was wonderfully helpful! We also ate dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious! I recommend this to any of my friends.

The bathroom only had shower gel (combo for body and hair). Separate shampoo would not be a bad idea.

Idyllic place with one big issue

A very idyllic place with a decent spot to store a bicycle. Dinner and breakfast were very good.

The doors were very loud and squeaky and with the shared bathroom it resulted into an interrupted night sleep.

Calm location. Nice diner in the evening. Restaurant OK even if not everything was available on the menu. Breakfast in the morning was OK.

Did not like the fact having no own bathroom. In the single room the bed was too small. More the feeling of a youth hostel rather than hotel.

Nice location and building. The evening waiter/receptionist does the job professionally.

Very rude and inefficient waitress at the restaurant in the evening (had that experience twice already). There was almost no food left for breakfast in the morning when I arrived (at 8.30), and they said that that was it. The room was dark, smelled bad and was quite noisy. I was really disappointed.

Great location, friendly staff and superb food at the restaurant.

I was travelling via motorcycle with friends and the staff were extremely accommodating in allowing us to use the courtyard for more secure parking. The menu at the restaurant was varied and the food and drink superb. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and engaging. The garden area next to the stream to the rear of the property was nice and relaxing at the end of a days travelling.

The buffet style breakfast choice was excellent, but I think the area could have been a little bigger to allow the guests to chose their food and drink without intruding on other guests space. In no way is this a deal breaker, simply an observation that didn't deflect from a well run and equipped hotel.

Good room and the bathroom is outstanding.

Very far from everything, the food in the restaurant is good but it took us almost two hours to get the meals to be served. Staff could do with being a little more friendly.

Beautiful hotel but not much customer service.

It was clean and had a rustic atmosphere. I really like how charming this place was.

The room was very clean, however the mattresses were old. I felt every spring in the mattress. The pillows were so thin that I had to squash them up to make it feel like I had a pillow. The staff in the dining room seemed to have forgotten us a few times and took longer to receive water, ketchup and even to order our food. The receptionist in the morning was blaming me that I was hard and stressful towards the waiteresses. She kept repeating that we should have looked at the website to see that reception was open from 8am. I mentioned that we were told in the evening that we could pay our dinner in the morning at check out. If that was the case we could have paid in the evening. We had to leave early due to commitments. I only asked the waiteresses if they could help but they were rude and not interested.

Superb

Beautiful peaceful and secluded location. Great little rustic playground for kids and a stream with bridges for stick races. Old paddle wheels and millstream add so much charm. The restaurant and coffee are top notch. Facilities are very nicely upgraded

Bunk room had a fair bit of noise from the corridor. Bed was a bit too soft.

It's a nice experience, but the finish of the hotel is out of date. It has probably not being taken care of in many years. The restaurant was really good

Old-fashioned hospitality and a paradise away from the hassle and bustle of urban summers.

The room was cosy and pleasantly cool in the evenings and throughout these very hot summer nights. Breakfast was great with a buffet featuring fresh fruit and fruit salads, yoghurt, eggs, cold meats and cheese. The bread was fresh and absolutely delicious as were the viennoiseries. The location of the hotel within a well appointed nature reserve (Life, Natura 2000) is second to none.

The ceiling light fixtures didn't match the style of the room with led bulbs dipping the room into a cold, yet insufficient light.

Idyllic countryside location, very relaxing.

I’ve been meaning to try this hotel for a while, the photos show the mill nestled in the valley next a small river. It’s very pretty and well maintained and the staff is excellent.

I’m hard pushed to negatively comment so the only thing I can think of is that the breakfast coffee was tepid. However, a member of staff gave us piping hot coffee from behind the bar, a great way to deal with my little niggle.
