Clean and spacious apartment with all facilities, perfect for a family of four. Central location in the heart of the shopping area of Athens and within short walking distance from Monastiraki, Plaka and the Acropolis. The host was also very polite and responsive throughout our stay. Thank you Athanasios!

Location and first class

Reasonably-sized apartment in an exceptionally convenient location: where the ruins meet the shops and restaurants. Apartment itself was well-furbished with dishwasher, washing machine etc.

Communal access stairwell was quite seedy and the flat below is still under construction. The bar on the ground floor played live music (seemingly the loudest in Athens!) until after 11pm every night, and then the nearby bottle-bank was emptied between midnight & 1am. Not a problem if you're a night-owl, but not ideal if you have kids and want an early night.

Amazing location, in the centre of everything.

We only got one key set, which also operates the electricity in the apartment, and really needed two sets for 4 people so that we can come and go as we please., and it is all locked so you can’t separate the keys from the one that operates the electricity. I asked for another set of keys so that we aren’t restricted with coming and going to the apartment and we were left with a second key to the apartment ONLY, this was absolutely useless as we didn’t have a second key to enter the building , so if you can’t get in to the building then you can’t get in to the apartment! Even if someone let you in to the building the second key is useless without the card you need to operate the electricity so you would be in the apartment with no electricity, lights, hot water and more importantly air conditioning so in the middle of summer the apartment is extremely hot and you can’t stay in there without air conditioning. I spoke to the owner again and he said he doesn’t live in Athens so there is nothing he can do, this was very disappointing as it restricted us with what we could do. Bring on holidays you want to enjoy them not have these concerns. Another thing is there is a lot of peeling paint in the apartment, this should be fixed as it is not very nice.
