Very disappointing

Location is good Marius was very friendly and fast to contact

Many things unfortunately were not satisfactory and even for the off season rate we expected much more: Curtains were broken Shower door was broken Remote for the A/C was broken Keybox was broken Lights in bedroom didn't work Lightswitch fell out of the wall (was fixed later that evening after we called Marius) Very noisy, impossible to sleep and felt kind of unsafe. Couch in kitchen was very uncomfortable and had stains. Seeing from the review that many of these things have been mentioned before and not taking care off I wouldnt recommend this place and we definitely won't be coming back.

The external appearance of the building is rather off-putting - lots of graffiti. We weren't sure if we had the correct location when we arrived.

Nice property close to shops/restaurants. They arranged a transfer to & from the airport for €30 each way, staff were lovely & let us check in early as the room was ready when we arrived

Music from clubs/bars was loud at night but they provide you with earplugs, would be nice to have a kettle in the room rather than just a coffee maker

Can't beat the location!

Modern, spacious apartment in a fantastic location. We came from Piraeus Port and the train stop was literally a 5 min walk from the apartment. It is a short walk to the Acropolis and there is an abundance of restaurants and bars near-by. The interior of the apartment was really pretty. The kitchen area looked fab - although we didn't use it - we were only there for 2 nights.

The air conditioning wasn't plugged in but, when Marius discovered what was wrong, he sorted it. Other than this, all was 100 %

Convenient location.

Great location right in the heart of lots of restaurants and a short walk to the Parthenon. Also very close to the train station.

The external appearance of the building is rather off-putting - lots of graffiti and a smashed glass panel in the front door. We weren't sure if we had the correct location when we arrived. The bathroom was small and tired looking, glass panels were missing from the shower screen, so water went everywhere, also the shower head is handheld with no bracket to hold it, so it made washing yourself a bit tricky. For the money, we were expecting more.

Location is exceptional, the room is specious and clean. The check in guidance was very clear and on time. The host was so responsive

A great location and clean, spacious room, but the building's condition needs improvement.

I stayed at the Monastiraki Place and found the room itself to be spacious and clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The location is excellent—very central and within easy walking distance to bars and restaurants. The host was friendly and responsive when I called, which I appreciated.

There were a few drawbacks: The bedlinen didn’t quite fit the mattress properly, and one of the shower panels was missing, which made using the shower less convenient. The entrance to the building was somewhat unwelcoming, with graffiti on the exterior, and the hallway was not very clean. There were mattresses and other items stored under the stairs, which gave a cluttered and neglected impression. Overall, while the room and location were positives, some improvements to the building’s maintenance and presentation would greatly enhance the overall experience

Disappointing stay

The location was ok - steps from Monastiraki Sq

The apartment was not cleaned properly. The toilet was dirty and there was a lot of hair in the shower. When communicating with the owner they offered to fix mid stay - should have been cleaned before check in. No amenities provided not even a kettle. It can sleep 3 people but there is no air conditioner in the living room. It is opposite a construction site and there was loud noise every morning. It is not good value for money and I would not stay again. The couch which is sold as an extra bed is very uncomfortable. There are no nets on the windows so when it gets hot you can't open the window because of mosquitos. We opened the door of the wardrobe which came apart in our hands.

Wonderful stay, amazing location and host! Host arranged transfer to airport at 5:30am. A++ driver

Location is fantastic, close to everything, best location to stay, very quiet and safe. Large room and balcony with kitchenette. Easy check in and check out. Wonderful communication from host, let us drop our luggage at 11:15am and our room was ready early. Literally can walk everywhere, it was a perfect place to stay in Athens for a few days. Great bars and restaurants everywhere. The driver the host arranged was absolutely fantastic. Excellent driver from Athens and very knowledgeable. Was so nice to end our stay with a smooth drive through the streets of Athens early morning.

Shower is a little small but very nice. Would have been easier with a mount on the wall for shower head.

The location was very convenient and the the accommodation was spacious and clean.

The lock box was difficult to use as the numbers have faded. There was no coffee in the room although there were quite a few coffee places in the neighourhood.

- amazing location - fully equipped kitchen - friendly staff very informative about how to get in etc - large veranda

— bathroom had bugs - hardest mattress I’ve ever slept on and would make squeaky noises - The boiler was dripping rust inside the shower which was disgusting - Very thin walls - Would hear the next door neighbors all the time and doors banging nonstop - not convenient bathroom - had no space to have toiletries and makeup

Incredible location and really comfortable apartment

I recently stayed at a lovely property in Athens and had a fantastic experience. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city's sights, restaurants, and shops. The accommodation itself was incredibly comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere and all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens!

You get what you pay for...

Location

Alley bellow was too loud, the rooms weren't soundproof, and the blinds were broken. You need ear plugs and eyemask to sleep. Sometimes we were woken at 0400h because of loud passerbys. There was black build-up or mold growing in the shower, and there was no hook for the shower head. Bed wasn't comfortable, and the pillows were old and lumpy. Our top sheet was for a double bed and didn't fit the queen bed

Very nice affordable room in a great location

thr location was very good. lots of restaurants near by and minutes from Monastiraki metro station and Monastiraki Square. very close to all of the main archeological sites. Easy check in/out. will book again on our next trip to Athens. seems very secure.

A little noisy from nearby places, but it ends at a reasonable hour. Bed is a bit low for my taste. Overall just minor complaints.

Perfect location for exploring Athens on foot.

The location is perfect and although we never met the owner, the instructions for the property were clear and easy to follow. We loved exploring Athens on foot from here and it is less than a 5 minute walk to both Monastiraki bus and train stations.

If you search for a street view of the property it will be misleading as the front door is unfortunately in a less than picturesque side street. As soon as you are out of this street you are in fascinating, clean streets full of bars and restaurants.

The host was great, super helpful and communicative. The place was fairly clean.

The place was nice but nothing special. A few things like coffee and teas would have made it more comfortable. It’s right in the thick of Athens by night, loads of places to go for drinks and dinner. This means that until 2am you hear everything that happens on the street.

The location is very central, very convenient in order to see the main sites. The owner was very kind and sent us very precise check in and out instructions and included a very comprehensive list of recommendations for our stay in Athens
