Monastiraki Place

It was centrally located steps away from the metro that takes you to the airport. Minimalist design. Beds and sheets comfortable, a window with light coming in. We had tv, also English channels. The place is really secure, having traveled across many European countries and this was much safer than other cities as in Rome, Bari,Venice or Barcelona. If, however, you aren’t used to Europe and bustling cities, narrow streets, then it’s not the place for you. Lots of security in entering the room, as I experienced in Italy, and greatly appreciated. There is an elevator to get to the other floors and it’s fast. Room was spacious, has a fridge, kitchen sink and utilities. We appreciated the AC being on what we got there. Thank you!

If I had to suggest improvement, more towels for the ground if a guest is staying more than a night, some coffee.

The place is in the center of everything, very close to main areas. I already booked twice. The owner was nice to let us store our luggage the last day until the evening

There was no mirror in the room, just one in the bathroom but the owner was willing to put one but we had no enough time

The location was central in the monastiraki area, walking distance to plaka, etc Excellent security. A number of doors needed to be unlocked via code

The bathroom was very small

Location was good. This type of holiday facility is suitable for a younger couple but not for me.

Three sets of passwords to renember. Once you get through the front door you are faced with three sets of steps to reach the first floor. The whole area is very tired, uninspiring and bleak. The room itself is okay as it is, if you ignore the cheap settee and the wobbly chairs that are an accident waiting to happen. They need immediate replacing, the bed is fine but the walls are paper thin. You hear everything. Outside area is poor. This is budget accommodation, it will suit some people but not me.
