Veeve - Jazzy Blues by Châtelet

Haft fina dagar i Paris och trivts jättebra i denna fina lägenhet med ett perfekt läge. Innan ankomst fick vi snabbt svar på våra frågor på mailen och blev uppmötta på utsatt tid när vi kom. Även rent och fräscht. Om jag ska tipsa vad uthyraren kan förbättra så är det att kanske ordna ett skåp för alla städgrejer, för damsugaren och liknande. Det är inte så kul grejer att se så dessa får man gärna dölja. Men vi är supernöjda och kommer gärna igen. Mvh Eva med familj.

It was a wonderful room. The room was stylish, spacious, and clean, so we were able to stay comfortably. We stayed there as a family of four, and the room was spacious and well-equipped. The location of the room was also excellent. It was close to a subway station, so it was easy to access various places in Paris. Although it was in the downtown area, the entrance to the building was protected by a security key, so the inside of the building was safe.

The floor creaks when you walk, which bothers me at night (it's not loud so it doesn't bother me normally).

You could not ask for a better location -- literally above pubs and restaurants, right in the heart of Paris. Gorgeous little apartment, well-kept, clean, with everything you need for a wonderful stay -- coffee maker, a fan in the bedroom, and a washer/dryer. The location is the best I've ever had in Paris -- next to the metro, to Notre Dame, to everything. Beds are good (harder than I like, but good.) There's a tiny office bedroom next to the main bedroom so everyone has privacy. We had four people (parents and two teens) and everyone was happy with privacy and space.

No A/C, but that's to be expected. There was a large fan in the bedroom and living room that helped. One note to anyone thinking of renting: It's a fantastic apartment in a fantastic place, but it's obvious that the owner has moved out for a while and rented the place because there's construction going on for the next four months, both in the street and in the apartment building. It's fine at night and on weekends, but during the day, at 7:55 a.m. sharp, there's jackhammering, pounding, pipes being worked on and lots and lots of noise. Not a big deal if you're going to be out and about in Paris every day. It is a big deal if you want to work from home or have kids who nap, and it's something to be aware of.

The apartment itself was lovely. There were high ceilings, it was spacious, and feels very French with the wooden herringbone floors and Juliette windows. Decor was really cool vintage 70's. We were greeted by a young woman who was friendly and took the time to make sure we knew where everything was located and how to use the washing machine. However, the construction and smoke from the workers was unpleasant and the neighborhood was very loud. Fortunately, the agents worked with us on this.

No construction, better recommendations on how to find good restaurants and neighborhoods (the Marais) nearby. Two of the four restaurants recommended were permanently closed so please update the list. Needs a real bed in the second bedroom so the couch in living room can remain a couch.
