50m2 rue rambuteau/Pompidou/Marais/Hôtel de Ville

The accommodation its self is clean , modern and the three double beds were perfect for our teen and tween who do not want to share. It had all the things we needed, complimentary shower gel, washing up stuff, a washing machine etc. Overall accommodation was clean, spacious (for Paris) , conveniently located, comfy beds, tea coffee etc provided. Lots of cafes, restaurants, bakeries. We had crepes and ice creams from across the road and dinner in Le Petit Marcel. - highly recommend. View of a bustling Parisian street. Very cute. The street it is on is around 30 -40 mins walk from Gare Du Nord , 15mins from Louvre. Ideal location for us.

Getting the keys was not as easy as I had hoped. According to the host on message the message was sent 5 days previously, it had not. The host then said booking.com should have emailed me 5 days previously with a code to access the building and then a code to get into the key safe. I had no email. I messaged on booking.com whilst stood outside in the rain and tried phoning the host. We did get a message back telling me that I should already have the information - of which I did not. So the host promptly sent it, during this time my husband went into enquire with the restaurant next door to see if they knew the information. A very helpful lady from 'Le Petit Marcel' assisted us in getting into the building once I had shown her my booking information etc and the mix up. We expected street noise as other guests had mentioned it. This was acceptable and fine - we did shut the windows at night to have some form of dampening of the noise and tucked the curtains around the windows to block out some lighting. However it is a city break so noise and light are bound to happen. The noise that happened between 12pm and 1am was quite a shock. The surrounding restaurants understandably have to bring their tables and chairs in when they close and most of them appeared to drag cast iron tables along the cobbles into the restaurants and stack their chairs up. It was VERY loud. But did not last forever so 'it is what it is'
