Perfect pub stay!
Great pub and very friendly staff, would happily return in a heartbeat.
The heater gets angry if you open the door. It switches off when it detects a temp change. Very minor thing and in no way affected our stay.

It's our "go to" place for a short stay near Southend and will remain so.
The Cherry Tree is excellent value for money as a base. The staff, especially Charlotte were extremely helpful and gave us the room we requested and a nice touch was more milk for the room. An unexpected bonus was the Porsche meet in the car park on the first morning of our stay.
