Exceptional

The Owner is doing more to welcome guests than is required. The flat is ideally situated for visiting the Loire valley. All amenities in the flat are easy to work out and the kitchen installation and fittings are fit for a chef. The flat is located in a historical part of the town and the owner makes sure you know about the town and the area with an antique wardrobe full of information. We warmly recommend it.

This could be a gem...but!

The apartment was 100 meters from the main bridge over the Loire and within a 15 minute walk to the center of Blois. There were multiple restaurants and bars, three bakeries, and a mid-sized grocery store within 200 meters. The decor was tastefully done, the rooms were spacious, and the apartment had been updated, but the architect should be shot (see comments below).

The bed needs to be replaced now! It was sagging so badly that even my 103 lb. wife could not get comfortable. I retreated to the sofa in the living room. The spacious bedroom and bathroom are on the lower level but can only be reached via a tiny, steep spiral staircase with excessively high steps. This would be a safety hazard if one slips or attempts to descent rapidly. There appears to be more than adequate space for stairs but the spiral staircase may be to much for many travelers.

Appartamento molto accogliente, c’è veramente tutto per un soggiorno confortevole. Nonostante le temperature elevate, il solo ventilatore era sufficiente, la camera al piano inferiore è davvero molto fresca. La posizione è bellissima, di fronte al fiume e da lì si raggiungono molti castelli entro 50 km, quindi è molto strategico

Per persone anziane o con problemi di deambulazione la scala a chiocciola può essere proibitiva

Très agréable séjour dans un logement très fonctionnel et confortable

Le logement est très bien équipé, optimisé , proche de toutes commodités en centre-ville de Blois (commerces et lieux de visite à pied). Facile d'accès dans la ville, même s'il est situé dans une rue en sens unique (places de parking gratuites disponibles devant le logement). Le silence dans le logement est très appréciable au même titre que la vue sur la vielle ville de Blois. Il permet de se rendre également sur des lieux touristiques comme Chambord, Cheverny ou Chaumont/Loire en moins de 30 minutes en voiture !

Des petits points de détail qui peuvent être résolus très facilement, à savoir la pose de deux rideaux dans la chambre (l'un côté fenêtre car la lumière de la rue est allumée toute la nuit et cela peut-être dérangeant pour certaines personnes dont je fais partie et l'autre, côté salle d'eau, car la lumière de cette pièce donne sur le lit dans la nuit). L'emplacement des couverts dans la cuisine est à revoir, car peu pratique lors des repas en famille. Ce duplex est descendant et l'escalier en colimaçon est petit (peut-être difficile pour personnes agées).
