About this house rental

Totally detached cottage, fully furnished and equipped, approved 2 stars (new standards).
Ideally located in the heart of the Loire Valley, this is an ideal base for exploring the rich historical, cultural and natural heritage of the region and its food and wine.
The cottage is situated in a quiet area 10 minutes walk from the historic center of Blois. Local shops 300m. Bus stop a few meters to take the shuttle service to the city center for free. The Loire path by bike is 600 m. The cottage has a lockable room for bicycles.
Located in the heart of the Châteaux region, Chambord, Chaumont sur Loire, Cheverny, Amboise ... can be reached by bike or car, very easily.
The Agl'eau Aquatic Center is a five-minute drive away.
Many other sports activities are nearby: tennis, horse riding, golf, hiking and mountain biking trails.

The house is ideally located to visit the city of Blois (walking distance, approx. 15 min to city center) with supermarket and bakery nearby as well. Parking is free, and often possible in front of the house. The house is small, but has all the amenities you need for a stay of few days. Cooking is possible, but we have chosen to eat out every day. Bedroom is located upstairs with lot of space for your clothes. Toilet and shower is located in small space, but comfortable, and hot water is available in an instant. Note that there is a very enthusiastic dog walking around, that the owner keeps inside/restrained if you are not a fan of dogs. The location of the house if really fantastic. Blois is a very interesting city, with beautiful royal castle and very nice Houdin museum. The city is also ideally located to visit castles like Chambord and Cheverny, some of the most famous Loire castles – all in 30 minutes driving distance. In addition at 5 min driving distance there is a large shopping center with Hypermarket and all kind of other type of shops. We have enjoyed our stay here.

The cottage was super clean. The beds were real good. The A/C worked very good. The cottage was very light. Had a nice courtyard for drinks. The hostess had a friendly dog we had fun playing ball with. Easy street parking. There is a locked gate for security. Very good location.

Perfect for a couple visiting Blois

Loved that we could walk from the property into the city. The parking is along the street in front of the gîte, but we had no problem parking in front. We rented bikes for 3 days to bike the well marked trails, and were able to store the bikes on the property. The gîte was clean and had everything we needed. We especially were grateful for the air conditioning units on both floors. Would definitely recommend! The owner met us on arrival and was very nice. Although she does not speak English, my husband speaks French, so not a problem. He also liked playing with her German Shepard!

Das Häuschen befindet sich der Altstadt gegenüber auf der anderen Seite der Loire, zu Fuß ist alles in 20 Minuten erreichbar. Man merkt an vielen Kleinigkeiten, wie viele Gedanken sich die Gastgeberin um das Wohl der Gäste gemacht hat. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht, eine Kladde mit Informationen auch auf Englisch war vorbereitet. Wir genossen es, abends auf dem liebevoll gestalteten Hof mit den schönen Pflanzen zu sitzen in absoluter Ruhe. Und ein großes Plus in der Sommerhitze war die Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer. Vielen Dank Mme Charmony!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus ist genauso wie im Internet beschrieben. Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet und in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Mme Charmoy ist sehr nett und hat uns mein Check in alles erläutert. Man erreicht die Innenstadt in 10 Minuten zu Fuss und kann das Auto häufig stehen lassen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten findet man in 5 Minuten zu Fuss. Das Haus eignet sich für Fahrradtouren zu den Chateux. Es hat uns sehr gut in Blois gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Pratique pour visiter la ville sans prendre sa voiture. Bien équipé et très propre. Deutz, le chien qui garde la maison est très gentil. Bon rapport qualité-prix. A noter que la chasse d'eau des toilettes ne fonctionne pas parfaitement et que la rambarde dans l'escalier est défaillante.
