Accurate rooms: The room sizes are good, everything worked, and they look just like the photos. They even provided traditional futon bedding for our toddler in the tatami area.
Excellent dining: The Kaiseki dinners and breakfasts were fantastic. They safely accommodated our food allergies and provided great toddler-specific meals.
Child-friendly: Our toddler particularly enjoyed the indoor kids' play area.
Summer pests: We visited during the summer. While not the ryokan's fault given the natural location, many bugs and critters visited the outdoor bath and tried to invade the indoor toilet.
Signs of aging: We noticed that the rooms are starting to look a tad older in person than they appear in the photos.
