The ambience was nice. Beds comfy and public bath in a lovely setting. Very quiet and isolated, gave it the proper traditional ryokan feel. Also a very small complex which meant the intimate feel was enchanced, which was lovely.
Food is challenging for a western palete, but very nicely presented and elegant. Would be exceptional if you were used to the textures and flavours associated with japanese fine dining.
