Convenient location but booking fiasco.

The Receptionist finding us a room when, according to her records, we were not expected and the Guest House was full. Not what we needed after a long journey. Breakfast was very good.

Hard to write a fair review given that Church Farm Guest House were not expecting us - despite Booking.com confirming our booking and taking payment in advance. The Manageress promised to let us know what had happened but we have heard nothing. Lighting in room was poor - hard to read in bed.

I needed a late check in and this was no problem and arranged with ease. The room had absolutely everything I needed, kettle, fridge, microwave, plate and cutlery and a wet room. The bed was really comfy and breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked, I even had salmon for breakfast which was a treat!

Beautiful, easy, clean and relaxing - would highly recommend!

I felt looked after from before I arrived - I received a message the day of my arrival asking my arrival time. It was likely to be unmanned at the time, so I was given clear entry instructions to the property and my room. There was a sheet left ready for me to fill out at reception with my breakfast order. The whole property and room was squeaky clean, and smelled nice too! The kitchenette facilities in the room were so helpful, the bed so comfy, and wonderful peaceful views from my room. I went down to breakfast in the morning and it was bright and all the tables set up beautifully. I was seated at my table (numbered for my room), and helped myself to the continental selection, before my full English was brought out and pot of tea I’d requested. Every part of it was delicious! And the lady who was serving was so polite friendly and helpful. An overall faultless and relaxing stay, would love to return and would highly recommend.

As I arrived it was dark, and I drove down a path to one side of the building and found somewhere to park behind the building, but I didn’t know if I was allowed to park there. I walked back the way I came & found the back staff entrance but there was a sign to say so and to enter at reception. I didn’t know where that was so just walked around the property and eventually found it lit up on the other side. Had I driven down the other side of the building initially I would have seen it straight away, but as I didn’t I got a little lost! It was only minutes until I found the entrance, but perhaps some lit signs to direct visitors to parking and entrance in the dark would be helpful :)

Shower was a bit underpowered and WiFi a bit weak but apart from that really nice. Could do with breakfast being served from 7am as have little time to eat.

Pleasant getaway

Nice cooked breakfast, clean comfy room, central location for visiting surrounding areas of Norfolk. Room 10. Double aspect windows.

No fridge in room as per suggested on booking.com description of double room. Was there for five nights so would have liked somewhere to keep a little fresh milk, snack etc as there was a microwave. Large TV on in breakfast room a little imposing but that’s just my preference.
