The location
There was no shower curtain in the bath and the room was too small.

On location at University. Shared kitchen to chat to other guests was a bonus being a solo traveller.
Nothing bad to say about the hotel the partying students is part of being on campus i guess.

Nice clean room and helpful staff when I finally got hold of them (wasn't answering the phone when trying to locate the car park). A number of choices where to eat on the Campus.
Had trouble identifying which car park to use as the hotel sits within a massive university campus and it was not clear where the 'free' car park was plus I could not get an answer on the phone to confirm this.

The only thing I will give the property marks for is cleanliness and the ability to actually open the window.
Reception was entirely closed for the duration of our one night stay on 26-27 December and I had to collect the key from the university security control center. There is no way for a disabled person to get anywhere close to the front door of the building in a vehicle. My 85 year old mother and I had to walk up three flights of stairs with heavy suitcases because the lift was out of order and our room was as far away from the front door of the building as possible, and given reception was closed, there was no one to ask about changing the room. When we got to the room, there was nowhere to put our luggage as it was very small and cramped and we would not have been able to move around the beds. We removed necessary items and I took the suitcases back to the car parked so some distance away in the main car park. The room did not smell good, and there was no shower curtain, so everything in the bathroom got wet when using the shower. There was no refrigerator, and there were exceptionally bright fluorescent ceiling lights.

The accommodation was ok and shower was pretty good.
It was really annoying we had no messages via booking.com that you needed to get a key of security which is so annoying when outside “feels like” temp -1C!

It was cheap considering it was Christmas Day night that we stayed.
It was in a safe, quiet area within a nice setting.
No directions or instructions to gain entry were provided in advance. It was difficult to find the accommodation which is situated in a university campus. When we eventually found there were no staff on duty as it is Christmas but at the entrance there was a sign directing us to go the security to sign and collect the keys. Advance notice of this would have been helpful.
WiFi was not working.
TV signal very poor and made watching tv impossible.
There was shower curtain.
Extractor fan in bathroom u/s.
The lifts were out of order and the room is on the top floor. Not a problem for us but we met another couple one of whose was 92 and she had to walk up four flights of stairs!

Location great (overnight stay whilst picking my daughter up from Uni) and staff friendly. Decent room and comfortable bed.
Constant noise from ventilation system.

No shower curtain, and was a wet room which I’m not keen on.

Location was OK. Car park some way away - especially in the rain with luggage.
Very poor bathroom. Shower curtains removed in Covid times still not replaced. Bedroom very small. Very limited space for clothes. No housekeeping service on Saturday. Only one bedside light and that was so low it was difficult to read by.

Was like student accomodation. Wet room wasn't ideal as bathroom flooded and drainage was bad.

Clean, functional and practical accommodation a matter of yards from the LCR where we were seeing a bad. Vending machines great for snacks and drinks. Basic but just what we needed for a one night stay!
Nothing.

If you plan to visit the campus for academic purposes or - as in my case - for cultural events, the Broadview Hotel ist the best option as it is situated directly on the campus. Enough for one night, but wouldn't suit for a longer stay.
It's more a guesthouse or hostel than a hotel. The rooms have very basic fittings, especially the bathroom is rather simple and not really clean.

Location
No reception staff. Had to wander to get keys from another site. Noisy. Thin walls. Constant machine buzzing noise. Smelly building.
8.0 / 10.0
Comfortable bed, very clean room, close to Hospital. No nonsense utilities.
Although I have arrived late, my key was available at the security desk.
A bit on a noisy side, it's in the UEA campus😂
The shower drain was working but slow. I needed the room for a shower and few hours of sleep and this was the best option around.

the vending machine was not accessible at night for snacks and the room only had 2 teabags!
The room was very warm which meant we had to have the window open and then got woken early by someone with a leaf blower outside the window.

It was clean and the staff were friendly
There were no central cooling system at all except for a fan. On hot days, the fan was not effective at all! It only made the room stuffy as the window opened out just a fraction.

It isn't a hotel. It's a halls of residence and if you get a room with everything working then great. but if you don't then nothing gets done if you mention it and no-one is interested. The room is clean (but not cleaned on a weekend as it is a halls of residence not a hotel). The bed is fine. A crash pad really
Fixing the broken thing! Trying to fix the broken thing. Even just considering the possibility of dealing with the broken thing

clean and tidy and this time had a working shower which was great. Cleaning staff are lovely and a good laugh. Nothing wrong on this visit - was on second floor.

The location was absolutly perfect for The Rock & Roll Circus @ Earlham park. situated on the edge of the uni campus 10 min walk was perfect.
nothing really,it was perfect for what i needed for a 2 night stay.

It was very close to where we needed to be.
Staff very friendly on welcome.
Cant say more as we was not in the hotel long enough for anything other than sleep
Room was a bit cramped.
Shower curtain was not close enough to floor so shower was just spraying straight underneath it.
Could have done with being able to open the window further or actual controls to temperature control. Fan was just to noisy.

Clean, great location for the event we were attending. Room was a good enough size for 2 people. Vending machine was handy and cold water available.
We were able to leave our car (free parking!) on site and took the bus into Norwich.
The room was incredibly hot (even though it wasn’t a particularly hot day) even using the fan provided.
It was very light in the room due to external lighting entering through the eyelets on the curtains and above the curtain (a blackout blind would resolve this!)
Our room was subject to a lot of noise which may have come from a utility room next door? It was therefore difficult to sleep due to the heat, noise and light!

Good location
Clean had everything we needed
Brilliant super helpful young lady on the reception
Hard to find, double bed really small, could of done with more tea and coffee milk etc.

The location was lovely and we enjoyed walking around the site. We stayed there to attend a festival and it worked really well for myself and my daughter. One bed was firmer than the other, which suited us perfectly. The room had everything we needed. During term time at the UEA, there would be many more facilities open closer - more cafes and places to eat, plus a convenience store. On this occasion, we walked across to the lovely sportspark cafe. Parking was easy too. We only heard the neighbours on one evening.
The room was small, which we had expected, but might not suit some people. Also, the walk through from the hotel to the car park and facilities was fine with my daughter, but wouldn't have been OK with my husband. I couldn't see any disabled parking closer to the hotel than the main car park. I may be wrong about that, but it would be something to bear in mind.

It was so close to the UAE where the band we went to see were playing.
It was very very hot and we only discovered there was a fan in the wardrobe when we left!

Convenience for gig on the East Anglia Uni campus which is why we booked it.. expensive for a taxi so 15 quid plus from central Norwich where my friend got a taxi from and said it's a good way out so I am sure just caters for stays on the campus iteself.. you wouldn't pay 118 per night if you wanted to stay in Norwich. On the plus the parking was free in the main carpark over night
Room even with the window ajar on the 3rd floor was boiling all night.. even when we tried closing the window to use aircon it didn't work and we melted all night even with the window slightly open on the window lock.. it was a great locaton for the gig we went to, but if you're visiting Norwich for the same money you would need to be central

I was lucky enough to be placed in a self-contained student flat near the hotel (though some of my colleagues attending the same conference were placed, seemingly randomly, in other student accommodation a non-trivial walk from the hotel). My flat had a decently large room, living area, and a small, but serviceable, kitchen.
The accommodation is directly in the middle of campus, so you may find the convenience is worth staying here, for campus events.
The Broadview Hotel is adapted student dorms and your expectations should be set accordingly.
Facilities were somewhat limited and haphazard though staff did their best in the circumstances. For example, my keycard didn't work, so the one staff member on reception had to close reception to fix it for me. The next day an electrical fault meant an alarm was ringing in my room for hours on end, reception was closed at 6pm, so I had to find the separate security office to see if the security guard would fix it. Individual staff were great, but the limited staffing, compared to a full hotel, could potentially cause problems.
Similarly, the campus shop shut at 6pm, so you might find yourself with a bit of a walk to get food or groceries.
The rooms were not air conditioned which won't be a problem much of the year but will be a significant issue some of the time (especially if your room does not come with a fan as mine did not).
7.0 / 10.0
Spotlessly clean; possibility of checking in late at night.
It’s not the right place for a holiday, as it is very basic - just an en-suite room - and on a university campus outside of town.
8.0 / 10.0
Comfortable beds, clean, good location.
TV wasn't working, breakfast is served at the university cafe, not in the hotel.
