RoaBaa Guesthouse

We stayed 1 night in Batti after getting the train from Habarana. This was the perfect place. The owner was super friendly and informative about the town. The room was great value for money. It was centrally located, the rooms were clean, decent warm showers, walking distance to Cargills Supermarket, and an easy Tuk Tuk ride to the main areas of interest. The beds were comfortable, a quiet night sleep. All round a really good option and at a great price.

Nothing. There wasn’t a breakfast but we didn’t need one as were up early to head onto Arugam Bay.

The room was extremely clean, the bathroom was spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. Everything was very well maintained, and all the facilities were in excellent condition. We also really appreciated that the hotel has a shared area where you can heat up your own food and store anything you need in the fridge. There is also a toaster, coffee maker and other useful facilities, which is a very nice and convenient extra. The owner is lovely — very friendly, kind and attentive, and always willing to help with anything you might need. Although the hotel is not right in the very centre, the location is actually very convenient. There is a Pizza Hut and an ATM just next door, as well as two bakeries nearby, so you have everything you might need within easy reach. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again without hesitation!

Spacious & Comfortable Common Areas: The layout and communal spaces made it very easy and enjoyable for our small family group to relax together, share meals, and catch up comfortably. Warm & Welcoming Hospitality: The overall atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, creating a great environment for a relaxed group gathering and memorable photo moments.

Food & Dining: Prices, Quality, choice, or speed of service during meals should improve.
