Excellent location, good size apartment!

The apartment was very close to the train station and the shopping precinct so very convenient. Everything sightseeing wise was walking distance. The art gallery was a very short walk away. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets close by. The bedroom was spacious, the kitchen had everything you need and the bathroom was smallish but had a very big shower. There was a single bed in the living room which made the space feel a little cramped and the couch set up was awkward, but it didn't negatively affect our stay. The fridge was stocked with water which was a nice added touch.

It was in the heart of the city. Everything was walkable distance. Apartment was very clean and well maintained. All the basic amenities were there, whether it be tea, coffee, plates, glasses,cutlery.

Really nice place for good price. Everything that me and my friends needed was close by.

Quick and easy arrangement on a phone for another way of checking in because we were late due to road work. Everything was close by like stores, Parking Garage or even the HBF. And nice thing was that this place is only 15 minutes of walk to CCH.

A comfortable stay in the centre of Hamburg.

The proximity to the train.. Provision of efficient bedside reading lights.. The helpfulness of the manager with an after hours check in. There was a plentiful supply of liquid soap. A supermarket was around the corner.. Two value for money restaurants are outside the front door.

Fantastic apartment with great location

Location to Hauptbahnhof and the main shopping area. Cleanliness, Provision of basics such as water, coffee, tea etc. Great kitchen with new equipment and crockery. Fantastic bathroom with powerful shower. Comfortable beds. Excellent WiFi. We had an issue with the kettle which was resolved quickly and without any fuss. Excellent hosts. Warm greeting upon arrival.

Very handy location close to everything

Great location close to the main Hamburg railway station and city centre. Very large rooms and not cluttered. Easy to spread out in. Well equiped kitchen (Would have liked a MWO) plenty of basic cooking ingredients left plus water in the fridge. Met on site by manager who gave us the key and answered any questions. Lift to 4th floor. Very quiet location. No noise from street. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again

City centre easy living

Location was near train station where we arrived and departed from. Easy to get around from and in quiet street near shops and restaurants. Apartment was well equipped and had two coffee machines. Supermarket and bakery were minutes away as were good places to eat.

Could hear upstairs walking around and walls are thin. Sofa wasn't too comfortable for watching tv but it was all dubbed anyway.

Well equipped apartment

Before my stay, the staffs readily replied to all the queries that I had. Check in process was smooth and fast. I was able to leave my luggage at the reception after check in, and the staff helped to place my luggage in the apartment. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, with lots of kitchenware. It was a comfortable size for 3 people. There were some welcome drinks and a box filled with coffee, tea and snacks that’s free for the guests. Location was super good. It’s right near the central train station, there’s 2 supermarkets nearby and lots of restaurants around.

After checking in, we needed some help and had problems communicating with some staffs due to language barrier. There was no fan in the room so we needed to request for them. The reception isn’t always open so it’s a little inconvenient to request for refill of toiletries. On the day of check out, we placed our luggages at the reception as there’s still some time left before our flight. As we’re taking different flights, we needed to come back to pick up our luggages at different timings. We arrived early and found the reception to be locked. I tried messaging them through this app but there was no reply. They only left a phone number to call but we didn’t have a Germany phone number. Fortunately, we bumped into other guests who are also waiting for the reception to be opened and they helped us to call the staffs and communicate with them. It would be nice if there’s an alternative method to contact the staffs when the reception is locked. A messaging app that foreigners could use instead of calling a number. I picked up my luggage late and almost couldn’t reach the airport on time. It was frightening.

To be recommended

Perfectly situated with easy access to the train station. Lots of shops and restaurants in the area. The appartement was very clean and had everything we expected. Fully equipped kitchen. We were welcomed by a very nice and helpful man :-) We stayed with 3 teenagers, and they loved the place too. When we go back to Hamburg, we will definitely stay in the same place.

A bit noise in the weekday mornings with delivery to the local restaurants/shops, but with the windows closed it was not that bad. The teenagers did not hear anything ;-)

Boardinghouse Rosenstraße is a hidden gem for business or leisure stays!

The apartment was quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk from the city center, a metro station, and not far from the main train station. The area around the apartment looks safe and has many bars and restaurants, or if you prefer to cook, there’s a REWE supermarket in the Europa Passage mall just 5 minutes away.

Superb clean property in a great location

The property is in a fantastic location. I was doing the Hamburg Triathlon and it was so handy for myself and everyone as we were so close to the action / transition etc. The property is ideally placed for restaurants, supermarkets with a bakery very close by also. Our host could not have been more helpful and made the experience all the more enjoyable. The flat was spotlessly clean also and was well equipped.

The only draw back was the noise. Not a show stopper but with it being hot we needed the windows open so you heard the bin men, the odd party goer returning....and the sea gulls one morning were a pain. Ideally air conditioning would have solved this dilemma allowing us to close the windows.

What could have been a pleasant stay ruined by construction work

- Great location, just a few mins walk from the main train station and tourist attractions & old town. - Spacious apartment, the kitchen has everything you need.

- There was construction work on the same floor that was carried out by Boardinghouse, which ruined our stay. The construction work started around 9:30, including drilling and breaking stuff, which was very loud. The hotel staff should have informed us in advance, in which case we wouldn't have stayed there. When we expressed our opinion at the check-out, the hotel staff simply said "Sorry" with a half-smile. That's not a professional attitude. - Bed and especially the pillows were extremely uncomfortable
