Fantastic stay. We arrived just before reception closing due to school holiday traffic and diversions on the mountain roads, however we rang the accommodation and let them know we might be a little late and it was no problem. The apartment was great, lovely size bedrooms with comfortable beds and a good amount of hanging space and shelves. Wonderfully large bathroom and a second separate toilet. My only regret is not having enough time to try the huge bath. Kitchen is well equipped. The bread and pastry basket extra delivered every morning is wonderful. Lovely dining area and cosy lounge area. Beautiful balcony with views of the church. We loved hearing the bells ring. We made use of the sauna area and the games room in the basement which was a great addition as we did not know this was here. Boot rooms with heated boot warmers was secure but easily accessible. The WiFi was free and adequate. Access to Crêt Béni ski area is minutes walk only. Easy to come back for lunch if skiing at the Cret Beni. I was already very familiar with La Chapelle d’ Abondance and always love visiting the village. As a group of 9 we ate out twice at very good restaurants in walking distance, and walked up the village which is charming. There are some nice bars, ski shops, restaurants, souvenir shops and farmers food shops. On this holiday we skied at the Cret Beni and Britaz mountain areas. The Britaz was easily accessible from La Chapelle using the free bus. Busses to the other larger ski areas were a bit confusing so we avoided doing this. At previous visits to La Chapelle we have accessed the Portes de Soleil ski area at Pre La Joux by car. We would highly recommend this accommodation to others wanting to stay at La Chapelle d’Abondance.

We booked through bookings.com and the reservation paperwork on booking.com and the paperwork from the accommodation used different terminology for the breakdown of fees and taxes so it was a little difficult to determine what had been paid in advance. However emails to clarify this were promptly answered by the accommodation.

Alles perfect! Super mooie ligging, fantastisch uitzicht, rustige omgeving & prachtig appartement. Privé binnen garage is ideaal, met lift , bij aankomst en vertrek voor al je bagage. Gastheer en gastvrouw Luc en Martine zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij! Komen zeker weer terug!

Appartement très spacieux où chacun peut facilement trouver son espace, loin des clichés des petits appartements de ski où tout le monde se marche dessus. Il est particulièrement lumineux grâce à ses immenses baies vitrées. Le balcon continu et communicant apporte un véritable charme supplémentaire. Les salles de bain sont très grandes et confortables. Le garage privé est un vrai plus, tout comme le local à skis équipé d’un sèche-chaussures, très pratique après une journée en montagne.

Il n’y a pas réellement de station animée à proximité. La station reste assez petite et peu vivante, avec relativement peu de commerces. Heureusement, avec le parking privé et gratuit on peut se permettre de prendre la voiture pour se rendre dans les stations voisines a 10 minutes. Même si l’appartement est idéalement situé à environ 200 m des pistes, il se trouve sur une partie du domaine skiable de la station qui n'est pas reliée directement au reste du domaine. On se retrouve donc sur un secteur composé d’une dizaine de pistes et de trois remontées mécaniques, dont on fait rapidement le tour. Autre point : la porte du sauna était cassée lors de notre séjour, même si cela n’empêchait pas son utilisation. Enfin, les couchages sont uniquement composés de lits simples rapprochés ; il n’y a malheureusement pas de véritable grand lit double.
