My partner and I stayed here over New Year and honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. From the moment we arrived, the experience was poor. No one helped us with our bags and the room itself was shockingly small. I wouldn’t even describe it as a hotel room, it felt more like renting space for a bed. There was barely room to move, let alone store suitcases, which is completely unacceptable given the price we paid. On our first night we had a dinner booking. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were completely ignored until we eventually had to say we had a reservation. The female manager was extremely rude and dismissive, speaking to us as if we were an inconvenience. Rather than welcoming us, seating us, or explaining the menu, she acted as though there was “no possible way” we could be accommodated and would rather ignore us altogether. The restaurant itself is dated, cramped, and uninviting, with very few tables and absolutely no atmosphere. The hotel claims to be dog friendly, but this is completely misleading. At breakfast, we were told our dogs were not allowed, despite seeing other guests with dogs at both breakfast and dinner. Staff were rude and inconsistent, making us feel uncomfortable every time we had our dogs with us. When one of our dogs had a wee outside on the decking area, the restaurant manager aggressively said, “What makes you think you can do that? It will smell.” This is supposedly a dog friendly resort. Dogs urinate, especially in snowy conditions. While owners should of course clean up poo, complaining about a dog urinating outdoors on hotel grounds is absurd. If dogs are effectively restricted to the room only, then this is not a dog friendly hotel, no matter how they market themselves. Breakfast was equally disappointing. There was very little choice, a basic cheese board, yoghurts, croissants, and poorly cooked sausages and scrambled eggs.

A fabulous hotel, great location, everything you need and more. Boot room is so convenient and you literally step out on to the snow and start your run to the chair. Really comfortable bed and all amenities you need in the room. Great breakfast, lovely bar and outdoor terrace. Lovely spa with outdoor hot tub and sauna…perfect post ski relaxation. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff who make your stay easy. A special mention to Charlene who was super helpful and kind …much appreciated as a solo traveller 😊

Excellent service from staff. Really friendly and serviceminded. Recommendations for restaurants were awesome. Bar is awesome.

Breakfast wasn’t great.

Location, views, car free. Good activities nearby. Everything available in one space.

Hotel is becoming tired. Prefer no use of single use plastics.

Most locations in the Alps are attractive and interesting and this was no exception

If you have never been to Avoriaz before, be prepared for the vehicle free location. Park on arrival and walk or over priced shuttle to accommodation.

Apparently the hotel made an all inclusive offer which we weren’t aware of. Only one restaurant was open and there was a buffet, which we don’t like at all for diner. It was crowded with loud families. There was only cheap wine. The elevator was always occupied. There was a pool/game centre next to the hotel where people were smoking and talking loud until after midnight. We had to keep the windows open, because there was no airco and this keptvys awake for hours. We had an electrical cutdown twice and it took about an hour to have this fixed. We paid almost 1000 Euro’s for the room for two nights, for which amount you may expect a lot more! We really regret we booked this hotel.
