We have been going to this hotel since our mum died in Boppard whilst on a river cruise. We toast the day on the veranda

We have stayed at this hotel 3 previous times. It is a lovely hotel with very good standards and a perfect position looking over the Rhine

On this particular occasion the staff treated us as though we were an inconvenience and no empathy with us. You do get used to the brusqueness of the staff but this year they have appeared to go to another level

When we got there we was sent to the room and another couple was staying in it this was very embarrassing and not good at all the staff member did apologise but to be honest not good enough a upgrade or something else would of been more appropriate for something like this happening

Good but scope for improvement.

The view and location was excellent.

A kettle and some tea bags/coffee is standard practice to keep for guests. The guest card should have been ready on check in & information given. Despite informing the chair lift ticket counter on 19th October Sunday that we are staying in Bellevue Rheinhotel Boppard we were neither informed that we can avail a 1 Euro discount per ticket for our 3 tickets nor did the reception inform us when we reported at around 1:30 pm for check in and informed that we are going to chair lift while we left our luggage and left for chair lift untill room was ready. The bed pillows are much too large! Bathroom washbasin is too small!! A chair can be kept in balcony. A person can be deputed to inform how to use the spa; we didn't use it because despite informing our desire to use it we found it without a staff who was willing to show us around as to how to use it to ensure our privacy & safety.

Lovely hotel in a fab location

We stayed in one of the hotel’s apartments which was very spacious, finished to a high standard, with a balcony overlooking the Rhine, comfortable armchairs in the sitting room and a kitchenette, the car park immediately below the apartment had electric charger for our car

Well looked after.

Location was excellent. Our room 314 had a balcony and overlooked the Rhine. Very good breakfast catering to all tastes. The car parking was a bonus and reasonably priced. It is limited so clients should request it when booking.

Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. It is nonsmoking but smokers were just outside the front door and with cold air entering the warm foyer the smell of smoke entered the hotel. I recommend smokers not be allowed to smoke outside the front door

Charming Hotel

Very stylish late 19th century hotel with many original features. Has retained the charm of the period. Lovely outdoor terrace. Huge, grand bedroom with a wonderful view of the Rhine. It was a lovely stay in every way.

Will not stay there again

Good location

I did not have breakfast the first two days. On my third day at the hotel, I asked the restaurant staff if I could order an ala carte breakfast. I was told that the buffet breakfast was free. I gave the staff my room number and nothing more was said. On my fourth, last, day I also gave the staff my room number and nothing was said to me. When I went to exit the hotel, the person at reception stopped me and told me that I had to pay for four days breakfast. I told him that I only had breakfast two days and that the restaurant staff had told me breakfast was included. His response was to show me a document in German which he claimed said that breakfast was not included He adjusted the bill, but I still had to pay 50€ for two breakfasts that I was told by the restaurant statt were included with my room After paying €800 for four days lodging snd to then been subjected to attempt to charge me for four days breakfast and being made to pay for two days had left me with an extremely poor opinion of your hotel Further, the elevators are ancient. There is no indication as to where the elevator is when attempting to call it. The lights indication that an elevator has been called stop working. In fact, the entire public space looks like it needs a long overdue renovation

Great location, helpful staff. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very small but adequate.

Lack of information. There was a QR code that linked to information but non of the links worked. All communication was in German so we didn't understand it, I realise that it's our fault for not speaking the language. The room was rather dated.

Comfortable bedroom with all the facilities you would need including connective Bluetooth speaker, dressing gowns, lots of good mirrors and sockets, no air conditioning but windows open and they supplied a fan but room wasn’t hot

For future reference we left our luggage in the front foyer and told Reception we were going to get the car and when we came back found that our luggage had been put on a coach and had left. Maybe in future it is important to differentiate luggage left or at least let guests know that a coach is imminent and to leave the luggage by reception - the Receptionist and especially the Technician were fantastic in getting our luggage back to us within 30 minutes do appreciate everything they did

Boppard and the Bellevue Rheinhotel was a nice stop on our Rhein River travels.

Very elegant and right on the edge of the Rhein River? Our room was very nice with a small balcony to sit and enjoy the sights.

Disappointed to see upon opening our door to the balcony an empty wine bottle and a good amount of used cigarette butts. Could have been better.

Good Hotel on nice location

Room was clean, Breakfast great and some of the waitresses super friendly. Reception was good.

The waiters (male) did not smile (looked angry). The shower is in a bathtub which is not good for older people. The portions during dinner are way to big… which means you don not eat all and the rest will be thrown away Parking is a problem

Great hotel situated in a beautiful location with some small inconveniences.

Location, right on the Rhine river is excellent, for the ones booking rooms with a view towards the Rhine, it will be an unforgettable memory. The 3-beds room was huge and all the rooms and bathrooms were extremely clean. We also got a single-bed room upgrade, which was quite nice: the room was not very big, but the bed was huge and the bathroom was completely new. Internet access was acceptable and both rooms had smart TVs. The coffee machine was excellent and I had every morning excellent coffee at breakfast. We traveled with our dog and we had the pleasant surprise to find a dog bed and a set of bowls for water and food in the room together with a small bag of dog treats.

Pillows on the beds were extremely hard. I usually have a huge problem adapting to hotel beds, the hard pillows made that even more difficult for me. The small room was quite noisy and had basically no view - I could "admire" a dark internal court and could see a small piece of sky. The breakfast was very basic, the same every day and quite expensive (12.5 EUR/person).

Room with a view.

The location is perfect. The staff are delightful. The old world decor suits and the good breakfast is varied and fresh. Great heating, pleasant meal in restaurant and excellent swimming pool.

Toilet in our room too high. My feet dangled in the air like a small child and the toilet room was very small. The two mattresses on one base were too wide for the base so I felt as if I were tipping out of bed. Solved by putting small pillow between mattress/base. These issues made what should have been an exceptional venue into just a good stay for me.

We were there for only 24 hours but this hotel made us feel so special, the staff were so welcoming.

Our son needs a vegetarian gluten free diet. Your staff were so wonderful at giving him a good choice of available suitable food at both dinner and breakfast. It was also his birthday and he was made to feel so special by the dining room staff. Thank you.

If we had the time to stay longer, hated leaving.

Nice hotel in excellent location

Very nice friendly hotel with good location overlooking the Rhine. We were able to eat both inside and outside by the river. After dropping our luggage at the hotel we were able to park nearby. We were there in the middle of this hot summer (2022) so the fan in the room was welcome and as the sun didn't come into the river-facing room directly, it was comfortable, but air conditioning would be a welcome addition

A nice hotel with great view and clean rooms

We booked a room with view over the Rhine and it was nice. Very big and well cleaned room with balcony and great view. The breakfast was quite nice to be a German hotel. Boppard is a place for a lot of elderly people so that's how the clientele in this hotel also looks like. For most parts the service was good, although very neutral, not super friendly. Wifi worked well. All in all more positive than negative things, I could stay in this hotel again if I'd be passing Boppard.

The passing trains do make an enormous sound do if you can't deal with that you probably don't want to book a room by the river. However, when the door and window were closed we could not hear any noise so the sound isolation seems to be in place. There is no AC which can be a problem on the hot days. Parking costs (not much) and might not find place right next to the hotel. We had no problems walking from a parking place a bit further away. At breakfast we were asked about our room number by 5 different staff members every morning, that was a bit too much. We didn't think the hotel restaurant was good at all for dinner so I would advise to find something else to eat.

lovely hotel, such friendly staff who were very kind and caring. Beautiful hotel which has many original features. The GF breakfast was extra special, the best we have had.

Sauna and steam seemed to work intermittently - although this is possibly for environmental purposes when trying to call reception there was no answer.
