Bathen House Boutique Hotel

Room was spacious and comfortable with a nice feel of freshness, nicely laid out and clean, the man helping with breakfast was very helpful and polite with a nice helpful character

Unfortunate we had the bad luck of having a very noisy person above us who seemed to be doing laps of there room till the early hours, cant blame the hotel for this but floors are quite noisy.

Easy location , Edwardian Architecture , rich decor well presented everywhere and beautifully dedicated to the house heritage ❣️ Spacious rooms , large windows lots of light, grand high ceilings, rich decor in all rooms and bathrooms, super king comfortable beds, quality bedding and bathroom extras❣️Feels like luxury on budget 👌 Beautiful Lounge & bar areas and quality choose of drinks, breakfast area in small orangery extension was very well presented, crisp white table setting in traditional furnishings, the quintessential atmosphere is everywhere ❣️ Free fast WiFi and free parking space 1 per every room . Friendly and professional staff 🫶

The building is on corner junction on main road with 2 bus stops in front , unmanageable street noise, the gates are not closed and feels less secure , they have no hedges or trees for privacy around the building and all windows are exposed , especially 1 floor rooms are practically overlooking the parking and the street‼️ Disappointing that the gardens are striped down to very low maintenance ‼️ Not as boutique experience as advertised , feels overpriced , the main lack of privacy of the building is an issue they need to address ‼️

Lovely big room. Light.

No room for clothes. No place to get ready - great mirrors in the bathroom but no sockets. And getting up and down the stairs with heavy bags or high heels can be a challenge.
