This cottage is warm, spacious and spotless. The sea views are quite stunning from the cosy living room. Decor of a very high standard and all amenities provided for the visitor. The owners are a really friendly, helpful couple who did everything to make our stay in Achill so unforgettable. We left feeling so relaxed and with lovely memories of Achill and the people there.

The property was immaculate, cozy, safe, and in a gorgeous location. We had everything we needed to enjoy our Achill adventure. The owners were kind, attentive, and made sure that our stay was lovely.

Very nicely maintained clean modern house.

The cost for electric use for 2 days was €45.44. This equates to approximately €8000/ year. Ie it was extortionate and possibly an extra money maker for the owners. We were shocked. While two of the bedrooms had acceptable beds, the middle one had a cheap thin mattress on a loose and noisy bed that made it impossible to get a good nights sleep unfortunately.

We spent five weeks in Ireland, but our few days at the Wild Atlantic Way Cottage were the best!

The property was perfect for our large family - spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is ideal if you are looking for a remote getaway on the Wild Atlantic Way - literally on the edge of the world, overlooking the Atlantic. If you are looking for a hiking holiday, Achill is arguably one of the best places in Ireland with several breathtaking hikes all within its self-contained island boundaries. This house in Dooagh is ideally located for many of these, e.g. a 3 minute drive from the isolated beach on Keem Bay (see pic), from which you can hike to the spectacular Achill Head, Croaghaun (highest sea-cliffs in Europe - see pic) and the even more remote Saddle Head and Annagh Beach. It is literally a 2-minute walk across the road to Dooagh's rocky beach which has some of the best breakers on the island. There is a fireplace for a peat turf fire which Our host was amazing - answered all our questions and needs promptly, and was flexible with unexpected arrival delays. Because the house is locally-owned, her local knowledge was very helpful for shopping needs, "off-the-beaten-path" sights we'd have missed, etc. We would definitely go back here again!

A few of the appliances (e.g. cooker, hot water, etc.) need a particular "touch" to get working properly (you know how it is sometimes), but a quick text to the owner for help brought an immediate reply.

Perfect base to see spectacular Achill Island..

Location was perfect with gorgeous sea views. Very comfortable, home away from home with plenty of space and comfy beds . Kitchen was really well equipped. Very close to the amazing Keem beach. Really nice local shop 2 minutes away for good coffee and delicious rotisserie chicken!

Just back from a long weekend and couldn't fault our stay. The house is in an ideal location, clean and has everything you need. The owner Monica couldn't have been anymore helpful and was in regular contact with us if needed. I'd highly recommend the Wild Atlantic Way cottage and will definitely return myself at some stage

Very comfortable living areas, kitchen well equipped. Beautiful sea view from living room front window. Great location, short drive brings you to Keem strand and beautiful beach at Keel. Our host easily accessible to offer advice.

Beautiful claw bath in main bathroom that we could not use due to drainage blockage that the owner apologized for.
