Location was great. Friendly village with a community pub and shop. Wonderful view of the countryside from the back garden. Easy to reach Richmond and other places in the local area.

The house was very warm and comfortable for our party of 9 ,ages ranged from 13 yrs to 83 yrs. The owner John was a very good host ,he was there to make us welcome when we arrived and gave us some valid information. When we needed to ask John a question we would text him and he was always quick to reply.
I would highly recommend York house and would definitely book again .Thank you John.c

Ideal location with lots of walking routes on your doorstep and a great local pub. Large back garden with great views over fields and beyond. Excellent heating which was needed as we stayed in winter!
It was functional but we felt the house needed a complete refurbishment. It felt very cramped with too many wardrobes and trunks in random places such as landing and hallway, which with a family of 10 staying really cut down on the openness of the house. Needed a really good deep clean, we found sweet wrappers, tissues and someone else's socks under the beds! Too many plates and glasses but not enough bowls or dishes to cook with. Lighting was an issue in that only one bulb in the master bedroom en suite and double en suite and single bulbs in wall lights in large lounge meant it felt dim and gloomy, yet the kitchen and small room off the kitchen had too many lights. Downstairs loo constantly smelt of urine and fan did not work.
