Immaculate and all mod cons.. only improvement suggestion is a TV added to the bedroom. James is the perfect host.. welcoming, professional and full of enthusiasm for his business. I hope it’s a roaring success!!

Superb

James is such an Excellent host and a great person. He communicated throughout our stay and was always around if we needed anything. The facilities were great alot of extra touches made us feel at home. Christmas tree was a lovely touch. The views are stunning especially from the bedroom window. Theres a lovely pub within 5 minutes walking distance too. I would absolutely recommend this place and will definately be returning.

I wanted a longer stay after we left

It was honestly so cozy felt like I moved out and I was living on me own with my lass bed were so comfy and the Christmas tree was a really nice touch the tv worked really fast sofa was dead comfy and the bathroom was unbelievable the design and layout was perfect

Chilled, luxurious accommodation in a great location.

Lovely host, great communication, and fab accommodation. All the little extras provided which meant we didn’t have to bring things like tea/coffee/washing up liquid etc. perfect having our dog with us too.

Warm welcome by host James who explained everything to us and told us the history behind “ Unbox” .Great location outside Durham with beautiful wild flowers and fields and river outside. Excellent living space. Every detail thought about and provided for. A great base to explore from but also to relax and enjoy. We’ll be back!

This property was absolutely gorgeous. Stunning area, just a short drive from Durham City Centre. Lots of beautiful walks nearby. Facilities were brilliant. I especially appreciate the fresh milk for tea/coffee and cold water on arrival. Host was absolutely brilliant. Always on hand if we needed anything.

The location it's great,very quiet, we saw hares, a fox and lots of birds, even a Robin The host was very very friendly, explained everything in detail, he even was waiting for us with a boiled kettle, fresh flowers around the lodge.The lodge it's equipped with everything you need!!Spotless clean!!

These lodges are in a beautiful location. They are clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Thanks to James for making us so very welcome including having the kettle on on arrival. We had a great stay, and our dog Rex had a wonderful time running around the field chasing the rabbits!

Anniversary stay

The owner of these cabins, Mark, met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. The cabins were meticulously clean and had everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. What Mark has done with the cabins is wonderful! Location is great for getting into Durham city centre and having a garden centre a short walk away was very handy for breakfast. We only had 1 nights stay to celebrate our anniversary, but will definitely be returning for a longer period. Would highly recommend!

Everything was amazing! Walkable to Durham city centre, whilst still being nestled in a little vilage. The host, James was easily the most attentive and kind host we’ve ever come across with. He also accommodated us last minute, for an extra night. Thank you!

We can’t wait to return for a longer stay.

The cabin was a real bonus find. So comfortable and well equipped for a very relaxing albeit short overnight stay after a long road trip. We were greeted by James who gave us a guided tour despite our late arrival. Spotlessly clean, very comfy beds. We really enjoyed sitting outside unwinding and watching the sun go down, observing the rabbits playing in the glorious surrounding countryside.
