An outstanding apartment in Durham

This apartment was comfortable, warm and conveniently located. The furnishings were to the highest standard. The view from the balcony was fantastic. Cannot fault it at all, its outstanding. The owners left some special touches to welcome us.

Everything was clean comfortable immaculate modern perfect great location couldn't fault anything host was friendly informative and very welcoming .

Stylish, comfortable and convenient.

The location is excellent. The apartment is comfortable and stylish.

The top shelves in the kitchen holding crockery and glasses would be inaccessible to shorter people. Could you provide a step? The ensuite is beautiful but a hook for dressing gown or bathrobe would be useful.

Beautiful Apartment

The apartment was amazing. Beautifully decorated with anlot of thought gonenin to provide everything you needed. The welcome package was brilliant. Milk, bread, croissants, individual jam pots and real butter, plus a bottle of wine on arrival! Netflix available for when you're not out and private parking garage. Also there's a deck outside looking over the river. Cant say enough!

A beautiful apartment in a fabulous location overlooking the river. Perfect for visiting the university or to use as a base for exploring further afield. Loved all of the little touches - the welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and we were glad of the free Netflix when the weather turned.

Perfect accommodation in every way

Beautiful apartment with river terrace, spotlessly clean, furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Secure free parking and a very convenient location by Elvet Bridge. Highly recommended, we would stay again.

If I could paint a picture of the view from the 3 downstairs window it would hang it in my home.

It was very thoughtful to have items ready for breakfast. The rental had absolutely every comfort. From plenty of nice dishes, silverware, wine glasses and even a bottle of wine. The bathroom are spotless and up to date. I loved sitting outside on the deck or sitting on the couch watching people and boats go by. It is too bad I probably will not be back to Durham. We loved the area. It did not come across as a total tourist town. We had just finish walking the Coast 2 Coast walk and wanting to travel to Durham to see the sights before flying home.

I am ever so slightly sensitive to air fresheners, cologne, and perfumes. The upstairs had an air fresher in the hall. However I did not feel I needed to ask if I could unplug it. Again I am just ever so slightly sensitive.

Simply Perfect.

The word immaculate is often over used - but not in this case. It would be hard to imagine a more desirable place to stay when visiting Durham. The apartment was spacious, pristine, tastefully furnished and ideally located, providing both peace and quiet and immediate access to all the sites in the centre of this historic city. Added to that were beautiful views of the river from the terrace, on-site parking, perfect hosts and a very generous welcome pack. What more could anyone ask?

A Perfect Stay, superb location and a 10 star property.

Chris and Wedy are the perfect hosts, they have simply applied all the lovely things and amenities they would like to have when travelling into their home. The result is a cosy imaculately clean home from home, after a day of exploring Durham and Newcastle it was a real pleasure to return home to the apartment and relax. Dont look anywhere else, this place is a gem.

We have been to many places around the world but never thought where I grew up could surprise me.

Everything was well laid out and perfectly explained by Chris. The location to die for.

We arrived quite late so the wow moment came the next morning when we awoke. Opening the curtains and seeing the view of the river so close, coupled with the bridge and the old town on the other side of the river was magical.

Wonderful apartments in a super location.

The location was incredibly central and convenient, yet at the sametime with the River view, it felt peaceful. Met by host in person who was very friendly and had left a very generous welcome package! Apartment was spotlessly clean with the most comfortable beds. Felt very luxurious!

Lovely apartment overlooking the river. Very comfortable. The wine was really good too.

The apartment was clean, the owner (Chris) met us with the key and walked us through. The owners had kindly provided wine, milk, orange juice bread and everything we would need for breakfast and our stay so we did not have the awful problem of finding a supermarket late in the evening. The owners had modified the house with Covid in mind - fewer light switches and cleaning products. The house was really well presented and every detail was well considered. One of the nicest short stay homes we have stayed in. It was also perfectly located for Durham Cathedral and centre.

What a gem!

What a wonderful apartment in a beautiful setting right on the river. Everything is top spec, excellently maintained and spotlessly clean. The hosts really couldn't be nicer or more helpful. I've stayed in many self catering places and this equals the very best of them. The terrace is lovely for watching the boats go by, listening to the birds singing, and having al fresco refreshments. Durham is a great city with lots of good places to eat and things to see.

Perfect stay in Durham!

This flat is just perfect. Top location, a few steps away from Durham's charming city centre. Super easy to get in and out. Beautifully furnished, with all comforts, a great view and lovely terrace, super comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, spacious bathrooms. We could not ask for more and will be back for sure! If you want secure underground parking within a short walk of the market square, Cathedral and restaurants this 2-bed, master en-suite, overlooking the river is ideal. Newly redecorated, it is fitted out to a high spec.

Riverside Perfection

The apartment was in the ideal spot, central and by the river. Chris met us on arrival to show us round and explain where places of interest and pubs/restaurants were around us. Beautiful inside and everything you could need. The hosts, Chris & Wendy had very kindly provided the basic food we would need (bread, milk,eggs,jam,butter,orange juice,tea,coffee and also a lovely bottle of wine). Bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. Bathrooms pristine and quality toiletries provided. Fantastic all round.
