Location was excellent. 20 minute walk to the centre of Durham. Duke of Wellington pub 10 minute walk away with excellent food options. The house was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Couldn’t fault it would definitely recommend

Plenty of space , nice lounge and kitchen.

Garden was unwelcoming, north facing, poor outside furniture
A couple of the beds mattresses not comfortable

The location was fantastic for walking into Durham and to a pub for dinner. It was great to have tea, coffee and milk available on arrival. The house was toasty warm and had plenty of space for our group. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding clean and crisp.
We found that there was a lack of wine glasses, mugs and only 5 forks. [ being as the house sleeps 9 it didn't have enough of these items] We had only 1 tea towel which again wasn't enough.
We had to experiment to find out how to ignite the hob and work the dishwasher. So instructions or indication of where the power sockets were would have been useful. They were hidden behind the microwave. Unfortunately we went out for matches to light the hob as we thought it wasn't working. After cooking the first meal we needed to put the dishwasher on and then found all the power switches.
Mould on the ceiling of the downstairs shower room, mould and plaster coming away from window frame in the lounge and water stains on the lounge and kitchen ceiling. The house is in need of some tlc.
