Scruffy interior ,messy tatty furniture.curtains that didn’t close. Two toilets that were not working properly. Not enough crockery etc in the kitchen. Very tatty interior could do with a spruce up and a deepclean.

Lovely property in a great location

Excellent location : lovely walks into town. Pub nearby Plenty of space Clean and well appointed : great kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. Good sized comfortable lounge Comfortable beds Nice garden too. We would certainly book this property again

Two of the beds were not very comfortable. We couldn’t find instructions for the oven. One or the sockets in the kitchen seemed to switch a fuse when switched on.

The house ' did what is says on the tin' but room for improvement.

The location was fantastic for walking into Durham and to a pub for dinner. It was great to have tea, coffee and milk available on arrival. The house was toasty warm and had plenty of space for our group. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bedding clean and crisp.

We found that there was a lack of wine glasses, mugs and only 5 forks. [ being as the house sleeps 9 it didn't have enough of these items] We had only 1 tea towel which again wasn't enough. We had to experiment to find out how to ignite the hob and work the dishwasher. So instructions or indication of where the power sockets were would have been useful. They were hidden behind the microwave. Unfortunately we went out for matches to light the hob as we thought it wasn't working. After cooking the first meal we needed to put the dishwasher on and then found all the power switches. Mould on the ceiling of the downstairs shower room, mould and plaster coming away from window frame in the lounge and water stains on the lounge and kitchen ceiling. The house is in need of some tlc.

This property accommodated 6 adults and 3 children. It was spacious, clean, kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable.

House was okay and suited our purpose but best thing was the location.

Location was lovely, great to be so near to the lovely city of Durham. Able to walk down to the City although hell of a hill back up!

Although the property was okay, long list of small things that could be improved: Property for 9 people but not enough chairs at the table, or enough cups. only 10 forks, no small sharp knives and hardly any utensils. Wine glasses and beer glasses but no smaller glasses apart from a couple of odd ones. Saucepans not really big enough to cook a dinner for 9 adults. No welcome pack, no instruction manuals for washing machine. Cupboard door on washing machine wouldn't shut. only 1 large towel per person and only a few extra small towels, only 2 bath mats but 3 bathrooms. A number of doors had some of the closures missing so doors wouldn't shut properly. No lightbulb on middle landing. Only 4 hangers across the 5 bedrooms for 9 people Wifi didn't reach top floor very well and we struggled to get it to connect to the TV. Sheets didn't fit the double beds so constantly came off, beds and pillows soooo uncomfortable. lots of light switches didn't do anything and could only turn on lights for downstairs once you were down there.

A spacious and comfortable house in a good area, somewhat let down by lack of care over maintenance

Quiet area with green spaces nearby, but also within walking distance of Durham town centre. Spacious house with comfortable beds and sofas and plenty of storage in nearly all rooms Pleasant garden with furniture Hooks on the back of bathroom doors for towels A more generous amount of toilet roll than usual in hired accommodation Lots of pots and pans, plenty of chopping boards Milk in fridge on arrival (but no salt and pepper)

The property was not well maintained. For instance: - only 8 mugs in a house for 9 people! - no small sharp knives at all, only a couple of carving-type knives - no lightbulb on first-floor landing - weirdly, all the latches had been taken out of the doors of all rooms except the bathrooms, so they couldn't be fully closed (and one would only stay shut with a heavy bag propped against it) - back door into garden was very difficult to open - inconvenient and could be dangerous if there was a fire - we could not get the fans in the bathrooms to work. We also found the low level of lighting in the living room depressing.
