Amazing Apartment. Felt like a wonderful home for the weekend with stunning views. The apartment was finished to a very high standard & there was generosity in the selection of teas and coffees & sweet treats. Location was perfect. Hosts great to deal with. The best place we have stayed in Durham and one of the best rentals ever!

Great apartment with a warm welcome

I booked this as a treat for my parents' birthdays. They had an absolutely lovely time and were blown away by the apartment and all the ways Jo and Chris made them feel welcome. Very highly recommended!!

Perfection!

We loved the location, the property was spacious and comfortable with lovely little finishing touches. It smelled clean and fresh and was perfect for our family of four. The view on the balcony was stunning, perfect for morning coffee!

Diamond of a property!

The property is in an ideal location literally five minutes from the centre of Durham. It overlooks the river, the cathedral, the castle and various collegiate buildings which are stunning! The quality of the Hideaway is exactly what you expect from a holiday let which is ultimately up against and is as good as, if not better than some high-end hotels in the area. The cleanliness, the organisation, the design and facilities, (including onsite parking which is a huge bonus) within this property are of the highest quality and standard and my family and I felt very comfortable during the course of our weekend. Would not hesitate to rebook.

Beautiful open plan modern property. It has been decorated to a very high standard. The owners have thought of everything you need. No expense has been spared with the decor and the appliances/ furniture were a high spec. The property is located a minute away from the town centre. Yet it felt as though we were in the countryside due to its excellent location overlooking a wooded area with views of the river, castle and cathedral. Free secure parking is a very big bonus as well. Excellent communication from the owners, who were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

Great place to explore Durham and surrounding area. Excellent hosts. Very clean and well furnished.

Fantastic location with a great, private view from balcony. Met with a very pleasant bottle of red. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you could need. Hosts Jo and Chris were just a text message away and offered to take us back to train station. Definitely recoomend.

Hiden gem among the town center

Jo is super friendly when we asked if we may leave our luggage there before the check-in hour. The place is super cozy, clean, spacious and surrounded by the greens in the backside of a vibrant area. Just 5 minutes away from all the pubs restaurants and 10 minutes away from the castle and cathedral, actually you can see them even among the trees from the balcony. Jo spent a lot of effort on the interior so we enjoyed looking at the decorations in the house. Absolutely enjoy the stay there.

Nothing, everything was amazing! Ps: the entrance is a bit hard to find through Google maps because it is in the back of the alley, you have to open the gates and get to the back to find the entrance
