Apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable and warm. Well equipped it had everything we needed for a short stay. Location overlooking the river was lovely, although traffic noise was a little intrusive.
Central location was very convenient.
Whilst the apartment was lovely, the logistics of finding it and then getting in were a nightmare. Even with Google maps, the location proved very tricky to locate by car. Some indication of road signs once in Durham would be useful.
Secondly we were told to use particular numbered parking bay, this was in use by another car.
Thirdly, the keys didn't work and we had to phone for assistance, which came promptly. But the locks to the street door had been changed, confusion reigned.

Location was near enough to Durham centre to walk to many locations. Quiet area.
Cooker was not easy to work out. Although many eating places nearby so didn't need to use it

The apartment was in an excellent location, easy to get to by road and then park up and leave the car for the duration of our stay. The parking space was secure and close to our apartment. The key was exactly where it was described as being. Once inside, the kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms very nice. There was plenty of space in the bedrooms for storage. The living and dining areas were a bonus and one of the reasons we had chosen this apartment for our stay. The temperature and ability to adjust it was great.
We arrived at the time arranged to find the apartment had not been cleaned or tidied. Thankfully the keys came with a letter containing telephone numbers for emergencies. A text was sent (as instructions requested) and a response received very quickly. The cleaners arrived about 20 minutes later. A broken down vehicle was given as the reason for the delay. We went out and came back to a very clean and tidy apartment.
I think I was just as shocked by the state some people leave their holiday accommodation in as I was walking in to find it.
The single beds were very soft and uncomfortable. Closer inspection suggests that at the very least the base units need replacing. Both of these beds had a foam topper and a thin cover over the mattress possibly as a way of making the beds more comfortable. They didn't work. I did not have a good nights sleep during my stay.
