Lovely homestay with great views of mount batur, really kind helpful host

All the staff at host @ volcano we lovely. Gede was really helpful and kindly offered us transport and helped us organise our sunrise tour up mount batur which was amazing! The gardens of the homestay are lovely and the rooms have a really nice decor. Breakfast was also nice. It is in a very rural location with lovely views from the rooms of mount Batur

The bathroom could have been cleaned further as the sink was quiet dirty when we arrived. We were also not a fan of the stones in the shower as unless you have flip flops on it’s quite hard to stand on barefoot. Overall the room smelt quite damp and was cold so may benefit from a heater/ dehumidifier to help with this. We did however still have a lovely stay and it was good value for money:)

A peaceful and serene place to stay!

This hotel is absolutely amazing. It is certainly value for money. You will receive a gorgeous room with a view like no other! It gets cold at night so I recommend early showers and the hotel will also set up the bonfire for you. The menu was simple but delicious. We ate around the bonfire every night. Breakfast in the morning on the table in front of the pool with the view of the Mountain was magical. The area is surrounded by crops and vegetables. It is serene.

The rooms are not sound proof. You can hear your neighbours conversations.

-musty smell in the room and toilet -the stones at shower area -the location is a bit far inside the village, small unpaved roads -far from convenient stores but expected in mountain area

The place was not clean properly and toilet was dirty. Staff didn't even help us with our bag during check in

Bad experience

Nice view of mountain infront, cosy and relaxing.

Wifi was not working, very poor connection. The place of the hotel is very deep inside, and not easily accessible. Drivers even got lost there. There are literally no food vendor outside and need to walk far for it. They have a kitchen but we can’t be always eating that for whole stay there. Hard to get gojek/grab there also so need a private hire. Toilet was kinda open concept, so a lot of insects and flies. Owner did not understand why we wanted to move out due to these reasons and insist to be abit aggressive on the reason why we chose to leave and not stay in the property. I’m not sure if they going to refund our stay as they agree on refunding.

Superb

Super friendly and welcoming staff. They organized our tours to Mount Agung and Mount Batur with very qualified guides (the Agung guide won fastest assent to the summit competition). Beds are comfy, rooms are super clean (and beautiful), food is good. Staff do room service, rent moto-bikes, offer laundry service. As an extra, the view on Mount Agung is very pretty. Definitely good value for money. I really recommend.

The shower water pressure was a bit unstable, as was the water temperature. It was going on and off. The hotel is a bit far from town, but with the moto-bikes, the ride is simple and easy.

Beautiful location and friendly staff

Friendly staff who will do their best to ensure you have a great stay. My room was superb overlooking Mount Batur. The hote alsol has licenced local guides working there that can escort you along the sunrise climb of the volcano at a reasonable cost. The start of the climb is very near to the hotel.

The setting overlooking Mount Batur was nice and the staff were friendly.

The room smelt very damp, and the bathroom didn't smell good. Impacted our quality of sleep and overall stay as we wanted to limit our time in the room.

I can put 10/10 Very friendly owner, care about all our wishes and gave a large room. Rooms are clean, service is good. We didn’t even have to look for a cafe, the hotel cooks everything and it’s very tasty. The Internet is good, the view of Batur is amazing. Only one thing I didn’t quite like was how the towels smelled after use. If this moment is corrected, then everything will be perfect.

Best value for money in the area and super comfy!

The bed is very comfy and clean the room style is very nice very good value for money. The owner gave for me the middle and biggest room however i booked the small one. He helped me to get a taxi to the top. I loved it!

only the toilet water smelled very bad in the 2 rooms i stayed but u can manage using the sink water Menu was very limited however there are no restaurants in the area so they should have more options for food

A quiet oasis with stunning view of the volcano!

The place is a little hidden gem with fields of chili, tomatoes and what not all around. Balinese as always welcome you straight away, as if you were part of the family. They also organize the sunrise trek themselves.

The bathroom smelled like chemicals quite strong when we entered the room but it got better during the day.

Eveything was perfect - clean, simple, tasty food, wonderful volcano sunrise hike, good coffee, cold beer:) The owner and the staff are the best! The view is breathtaking. We liked it here so much that we even extended our stay for one more day:)

The location was nice, a little bit hard to get to. The accommodation has so much potential, I just hope they fix things and fulfill it. The yard is beautiful and the view mesmerizing.

The bathroom & room smelled of mold, there was this strong smell we couldn’t quite get out. Other than that, the room itself was actually really nice.
