Beautiful spot overlooking the lake run by a lovely family. Nice food options Great guided trek up Mount Batur. Shuttle service really handy to my next location.

Unfortunately, it is the season for flies around the agriculture, but calm around the eating area.

Attention to detail was excellent

The staff is incredible, Mowgli took care of every detail since my arrival at the airport. The view is amazing, even cloudy.

The last road to get there is bumpy and very narrow. First day we went in car and second day in scooter, which is fine by me but not for everyone.

WORST PLACE TO STAY!

Infected with massive flies even inside the room. The host will spray Baygon in your room and force you to stay inside the room with Baygon smell. The host threatened us that if we leave there would be no transport. Nightmare. I called my driver and paid more to run away from this nasty place.

NEVER EVER BOOK THIS PLACE! FULL OF FLIES CRAWLING IN THE PLACE. POOL IS A KID POOL. Toilet was disgusting. WELL, DECEIVED PLACE TO BOOK. SHOULD REPORT THE HOST TO THE POLICE. He did not refund my stay though I left upon arrival.

Excellent location and nice room

it is very scenic propery with large room and comfortable bed. There was a kettle in the room with some coffee and nice outdoor patio area with chairs and drying racks

there was a loud local friends of the owners and they stayed up late and were loud. Some bugs in the room

Sadly there is no more fire pit, they are building a pool but gets cold at night so fire pit would have been nice. Be warned though, flies are bad outside during the day. We were also there maybe a day too long. Not a lot to do.

locattion is difficult to find, I missed the place i used google to find but there was 2 location with the same name unfortunately I could nt find the location and i asked for my money back,, the owner was good he will give my money back after they get the money from booking .com, so thanks for this,, I,m still waiting for they transfer back, recomended for other guest

The property is a perfect location for who want to hike Mt. Batur. In fact, the basecamp is really close to it. The view is amazing! You woke up with a beautiful scenery on the mountains!

The off road to get to the property isn’t the best and is pretty dangerous as well.

Good place to stay for climbing Mt. Batur and guide was extremely helpful; every aspect of the climb well prepared. Agricultural area (which did attract flies) and wonderful view of fields, mountains and lake. Road is going to be repaved soon, which will provide easier access.

The view of the hotel was amazing and the location was perfect if you want to go hike Mount Batur. The staff was also very friendly, so I would recommend this place if you are planning on hiking Mount Batur!

Oasis in the hustling bustling Bali

Unobstructed amazing views of both the lake and the mountains, fantastic hosts with their Balinese hospitality. It's amazing to hear about stories about how the owner started guiding tourists since he's 10. Onsite restaurant has pretty good food. Owner is also well connected that can help you facilitate transportation needs both getting to the property and next destination.

None but some tips, The flies. It's not the owner's fault just the farm land nearby. Shower is hot and pressure is good but hot water does run out and can be an issue if you have more than one person that needs to shower.

Back from holidays, I finally take the time to share our experience at Batur. Impeccably clean rooms, lovely garden facing the lake, good food, but above all a sense of service at the highest level. A big thank to Mowgli and his familly for organising everything for us in a very professional way. Our transport from our previous place of travel (even requested at the last moment, the night before), our hike on Mount Batur, off the beaten track, with a fantastic guide, who managed to make us forget that the weather was not really on the side, the booking of ferry tickets for the next stage, the efficiency at the wheel of his nephew who drove us to the port in the relay.

We stayed here for two nights - it’s a simple, cute guest house with amazing views of Mt Kintamani (in spite of the heavy clouds and rain). The room was comfortable, the staff were lovely. and the evening meals were excellent!

A few things to be aware of: - the steep road up to the guest house is pretty rubbish - there was an insane amount of flies everywhere that brought back memories of the Australian Outback - the dividing wall between rooms is obviously thin, judging by the noise from our next door neighbours’ room who were up at 2:30am for the sunrise hike - wifi not great

Breakfast was very good and sufficient. What we ordered, we got and was prepared on site. The view from the garden is exceptional if weather holds.

Unfortunately the rooms are quite small and the bathroom is not as cosy as one would expect but still sufficient.
