Lovely quiet stay in wslkers paradise.

Beautiful location and our cottage was beautifully clean and had everything we needed. Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and milk was very much appreciated.

Great location fro North Lakes and walking/running.

Fabulous cottage, well equipped and beautiful views. Really comfortable beds, clean, Great helpful hosts.

The number of off lead dogs from the other cottages been allowed to roam the property. The cottage notes clearly said to keep dogs on lead on the property and advised of a lovey area for off lead runs etc within 20 secs of the cottages however every day, our very polite on lead dogs were charged and disrupted by other cottage visitor dogs that were just been allowed to wander about. Whilst not a big thing just knocked the edge of a fabulous place.

Paradise

A beautiful quiet and most scenic few days and we will be back as soon as we possibly can. My wife fell immediately in love with Howe Top and we wished we had booked a longer stay..Fiona and Mark make you feel so welcome and we would not hesitate in recommending a stay here. Thank you so much for everything

Happy to have found this wonderful gem!

Stayed for a week in February and wow! What a beautiful gem! The location was so idyllic and the surrounding views were stunning. Lots of local walks for the dog and 2 children aged 6 and 10. A fantastic location to escape from the hustle and bustle but not too far to travel to the nearby towns. Accommodation was clean, tidy and cosy. It really felt like home from home. We could have stayed longer and can't wait to be back! Thankfully we had glorious weather but we would not have been without entartainment if the rain had come thanks to the games room. The children loved the vast selection of games and DVDs to chose from. The hosts were fantastic. Quick to respond to any queries prior to arrival and very friendly with advice on activities and walks nearby.

A really excellent experience in a less well known bit of the Lakes

The location was excellent in terms of easy access to different areas in the Lakes, and also the intrinsic interest of Blencathra and the fells - sitting on top of a rise gave a real sense of quiet and immersion in the landscape House well equipped if small rooms, but comfortable and warm.

A little tight for space in bedrooms, but perfectly manageable.

Amazing Howe Top

The location was amazing! due to property being located higher up, you had 360 degree views of mountains and hills. The property itself was generally comfortable and had good kitchen utensils, cups, plates etc. The property owners were lovely, friendly and offered a star gazing night. We did not take this up but the night sky even by the naked eye was so clear and stunning! The property is short driving distance to some lovely places like Ambleside, Keswick and Ullswater.

The property has storage heaters that were set on a locked temperature. Although it also had a electric fireplace it was still quite cold. Given we went at the beginning of March the temps were still cold outside in mornings and evenings The shower did sometimes have low pressure but the handbook does refer to this and tells you what to do.

Stayed in Howe top.The cottage was cosy, clean and on beautiful scenic surroundings. The hosts were very kind and helpful . I am going to come back again with my family. Highly recommend it you wont be disappointed.
