7 / 10Good·Oct 2026
Bathroom and toilet facilities clean and spacious. Hot water came through quickly. Good selection of fresh fruit for breakfast, adequate selection of cereals, and I was able to make myself a decent cafetiere coffee. Owner welcoming but unobtrusive.
No parking on the premises, only in a parking bay across the street. These kinds of b+bs are fine for a one-night stay but you'd feel restricted staying longer - no tv in the room, only in shared lounge, for instance. For what was offered, I estimated the price was $30 too high.

A very convenient location, with restaurants in easy walking distance. We were greeted by our hostess and helped with our luggage. The room was extremely pleasant and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for our comfort. The breakfast was delicious and attractively laid out. We were made completely at home, and felt like welcome guests.
The only small problem, which was a personal one, were three shallow steps to the front door. But as Margaret very kindly helped me it was not impossible.

Margaret (the owner) was warm, lovely and very welcoming. Thank you Margaret for your kindness and hospitality. Peter

Margaret was an incredibly warm and friendly host, breakfast was great, room was nice and comfy - just what’s needed on a cold NZ winter night!
